Do you have any specific ways to keep yourself motivated on increasing your online income? I set target goals that I have to maintain from month to month. Once I have achieved that goal for 3-6 months, I set a new goal. I work full time and have a family, so spare time is limited. I typically generate 80-$110 a month. My last goal was $80, so it is in the time frame to consider a new goal. What about you?

My job is my online working. I work most of the day on my computer. I also have a busy family life, and social life. My motivation is simple...the more I can earn the more I save. I have been building my income for years, so I have the necessary disipline to do this. I don't have an actual time clock...yet I do. I basically work all day while my husband and children are away from the home. I also work online early in the morning before they get up...lol. I guess you could say that I really enjoy what I do. And maybe there are mornings that I look like my avatar..LOL

Yes, it is work. Some people want to achieve it all overnight, it doesn't work that way. But, I also enjoy my job.... where else can I work in my pajamas..lol. Have a great week :)

Yes, I have set online goals for myself on how much I would like to make a month online, especially if it is paid at least once a month. I am unfortunately not doing much online right now besides this site, and trying to get more going. But it is a lot of hard work, and sometimes for me easier to make extra money somewhere from the comfort of my home as in Yard Sales, etc. But if you are doing OK is this something you are Happy with or one with a real motive and worth fighting for as well?

The truth is I enjoy it. I also know even though things may be good now, sometimes things occur in life, and you can use some extra money. I also have a disabled mother who I sometimes send money to. As I try to save a good portion of my other income, I can have the online income to put towards other things.

Hi Bucklord, your discussion thread reminds me of a discussion thread in digitalpoint forum. A college student needed money urgently. His strategy to make money online was very simple. Just write 20 articles every day and post to Ezinearticles, an article directory. All the articles link to a landing page to promote certain products. He managed to gain a few hundred dollars in commission for three weeks of hard work. However, sales are not consistent. There are more days without sales than days with sales. His highest earning in one day was $70. if you have time to visit the forum at digitalpoint, you can search for the thread "20 Articles a Day'll Make the Bills go Away" The responses vary. I personally do not have the energy to write 20 articles a day and post to article directory. I think it's too much hard work for too little returns.

I definitely don't have the energy or desire to write 20 articles either. That sounds like a ton of work.

I set a goal in the new year and soo far i have not managed to do all the goals that i have set for on her let alone on the other sites that i am on.However what with trying to get in a better routine i hope to be able to do alot more things as at the moment there are alot less appointments aswell as the children are all back at school so i have more of an oppertunity to do more on the internet.

Good job setting a goal. That is a fantastic first step. It takes time, but as you mentioned you will develop a routine. I noticed the better routines and processes I developed, the more efficiently I was able to visit sites. It was no coincidence that my online income also increased.

I wish I had the motivation to set goals. I really want to help my hubby with extra income but everytime I end up doing more reading than earning and losing interest. But your goals have given me a bit of motivation to maybe strive harder and really become that extra earner in the family so my hubby can have a piece of mind in this economy.

You can do it. Start with really small goals. Maybe something like earning at least a dollar a week from all the sites you visit. Gradually build up from there.

The time factor isn't equal to the amount earned for most online earning "schemes" and the passive income sites are really passive.
