Today is my mother in laws birthday. We didn't have much to give her. So we gave her a days work. We went over there and put up an arch for her walk through it turned out great. And vacuumed her car out. We brought over a nice meal for her to enjoy so she didn't have to cook. Today was moms day. She was well pleased with her gift of help today. So what did you do today? Did you have a good day? Would you give a day of work for your mother? What would you have done?

Hi Sandipanbhuiya and welcome to my lot. Thanks. Mom loved it she was so pleased with what we got done for her. She just kept smiling all day. She has been trying for the last couple of months to get over to her other home to get her yard ornaments. You should have seen her face to see when we pulled up with her stuff. She didn't get anything from anyone but us and that made her even more proud. Her other son and daughter didn't do anything for her. She was bragging all day to her friends about what we had done for her.

Happy Birthday to your Mother in Law! I think the gift you "gave" her was a great idea! Especially because often older people don't need anything, so gift giving can be hard. I know that we typically just send our Mother's (mine and my hubby's) Birthday cards.

Hi Jennlk. Thanks for the birthday wish. We love spending time with her. She is a real nice lady. It was about all we could afford to do so we gave her what she really needed our time and effort. You could see the joy in her eyes when she seen all we had done. She is always giving to everyone so thought it would be the prefect gift. We gave her a nice birthday card and a small can of coffee with a coffee canister. But she really didn't need any of it. She just moved into this house a few months back and some of her stuff is at her other house, so we took some of her yard ornaments over to her. And gave her a day of our time. She is one that don't really need anything. She loved everything we did. God bless mothers!
