What is your country's absurd belief regarding people?

The only absurd belief i know, is that some of our different coloured countrymen believe that if a gheko bites you, you will definately die. LOL.

Yeah, quite a lot. It's sort of ancient folk lore and a lot of modernized people in our country has dismissed such beliefs but then here are some of them. It has a lot to do with moles! LOL. A person with a mole on the forehead is said to be very smart. A person with a mole on the sole of the foot is always itches to go out on gimicks. A person with a mole on the nose will get wealthy when he/she grows up. A person with a mole near the eye likes to eves drop. It's quite petty and funny the weird beliefs in our country! No wonder most people have dismissed them.
