So being an Olympian is a great privilidge, and you can end up bringing your country and yourself great honor. Plus, you can do something you love to do as your profession. But, at the same time you sacrifice a LOT of things for being an Olympian. You can't hang out with your friends, you can't always go out with your friends, go to parties, it's hard to meet someone, and you lose a lot of your freedom because you constantly have to be practicing or working out. In reality, when you think about it, your whole life is really just day after day, practice after practice. Even sometimes when you don't want to anymore, but you have to continue on. And if something should happen to get hurt and you can't do your sport anymore, what is your life anymore?
So, here's the question, would you like to live like an Olympian? Do you think it's worth it?

That's a good question! If I had the ability, I think I would like to live like an Olympian. Life would be so fascinating and exciting everyday, not to mention you would be fit all the time! I agree with what you said about friends, but I think as long as you keep in contact, and make new friends, it won't be that bad!
