About 4 years ago I started the online earnings of GPT. I was doing about $100 a month on a combination of sites. Well, that soon went bad with cheaters doing the same offers on many sites with a ton differnet emails. I followed the rules and earnings went down steadily. Now, no GPT offers credit for me. Then I went to PTC. Was doing good there... about $25 a month of multiple sites. Well cheaters hit that area too. The 1 centers gradually went to 1/2 cent then to 1/10th cent. Throw in the site admins started not working their sites appropriately and making every either wait extended period of time for cashout or demanding upgrade in order to be paid at all, etc. Making a buck a month got to be nearly impossible. and now most PTC clicks are limited to one click per day on only ONE site. Click the same PTC on multiple sites and you get deleted. I now only play 5 sites and all different clicks. During this time, I was doing paid surveys to. Had quite a few survey sites that were always sending me surveys to do. I focused on a few of the higher paying ones. I was making about $50 a month from paid surveys. Well, then I have noticed that the surveys are starting to slow down. Now, although there are a good amount (just not like before) but I do the survey only to be told the survey is closed or that I don't "qualify" for the survey. Now I know that they ask questions to hit a target group of people, but I spend at least 5-10 minutes answering questions that seem rather direct and specific, only to be told I don't qualify or the survey is closed. I can understand a minute of two of qualifing questions, but 10 minutes or more of answering around 30 questions, and THEN to be told I'm not in the target range or the survey closed? It is almost like even if I am not in either of those catagories, they will still make a person take the whole survey, collect their answers/opinions for their survey and then say we don't qualify, and not pay us, all the while they have all our answers... kind of like they are cheating us...we give hte answers they want/need/ask for, and they keep them, and don't pay us for them Of course there is nothing to do about it..so my question is this.... are paid surveys starting to be a scam now? I am working pretty good sized, common sites. IF only one was doing this, I would just ignore that site, but ALL of them are doing it! Opinion Outpost, Tuluna are among the group that used to be so great and I'd complete the survey and get paid. Now, I spend 10-15 min doing the survey only to be told I don't qualify. Just seems to odd that it takes that long to be catorized into a target group or not. I know they have to go for a bit, but still... in recent years, I did the same thing with the same companies and pretty much ALWAYS was able to complete the survey and get credited/paid for doing it. So...anyone have any comments as to their opinion or experience with paid surveys and what's going on there?

I think paid survey sites are still good, but the "good" sites switch all the time. For instance, Global Test Market has gone down the tube in my view since they stopped giving you $.25 when you don't qualify...now it takes forever to get paid there. On the other hand, SurveySpot, which was my best site in 2007/2008 and then went downhill I thought, has started sending me more surveys that I qualify for again. (They now seem to pay instantly by PayPal as well, definitely different from most survey sites!) I think survey takers have to be members of tons of sites just so they can take advantage of a site that's "hot" at the moment. I totally understand your frustration about not qualifying because I go through the same thing. Many definitely do seem to ask for too much before disqualifying...I've even completed an entire survey only to be told the survey's quota was already filled. Geez, couldn't I have been told that BEFORE I spent 15-20 minutes answering questions? However, I haven't noticed this situation really getting any worse than it has been in the past. I would say just keep plugging away. The good days/months make up for the bad eventually...I've made $6 from surveys just today and it's not even 7 AM yet!

I've made less each year with paid surveys and I think I "try" about the same number, so I guess I'd have to say I agree. My favorite is Global Test Market. About once a year, I get a check for $80, and compared to other's, which offer sweepstakes entries, this is much more rewarding.

Yes I get that a lot with paid surveys myself, unfortunately, I guess the only thing to do keep on looking - I'm with Ipsos I-say, Web Perspectives, and Global Test Market, they're pretty good. Networking with like-minded people is also a great idea as you all can put your heads together and give each other the "heads up" so to speak on which site is good and which is not, etc, and sign up under neath each other, that sort of thing. That's what I'm doing.
