While I do try and listen to people, I have to admit, there are times where my mind is getting ahead of the conversation. Times where people are talking to me and only half way done, but my mind decides to kick into over drive. Thinking of a solution to what they are saying and an answer to any question they might have, even if it is on incomplete information.
This is not a good practice to have and I try to avoid it. However, there are times where I do get ahead of myself. I comment a couple of times. Then when they have to clarify something that causes me to be off of the mark in what they are saying, that can be just a tad bit of an embarrassment. So I try to listen but I do admit there are a few times where my mind has been in the conversation.

Good morning...careguarden! I learned something from my Father, many years ago, and all my life I have given it a great deal of creedence...and it is; GOD gave YOU TWO ears...and ONE mouth...so you should listen twice as much as you speak! It has served me well, in my life! I also feel if you only hear part of a conversation...your reply is inconsequential, as you may have missed the entire "gist" of the discussion. Have a great weekend..and Cheers!
