How you communicate with your parents?

Now that we are old enough to handle our self and do whatever we want in our life, having our own family, we rarely have time to communicate with our parents. These days how you communicate with your parents? Do you ring them at home often? Do you visit them every weekends? Do you chat with them? or whatever ways you do?

My parents live in the same country where I stay, but they are in a different state. I contact them using phone. It is nice to talk to them once in a while and enquire about the things happening with them. I also visit them once in three or four months. It is not easy to visit them very often because it will take 16 hours of train journey. Also, it is difficult to get the tickets if I don't book in advance.

Oh, 16 hours on train well that can be real long journey, it must be better to have in on ship 'cause it will makes you able to enjoy and forget the time as there are many facilities on board. Anyway, the best thing is you try your best to communicate with them and it's always nice to hear about our parents days done. Anyway thank you for sharing with us and enjoy your weekends!

I fully agree to you that we have own family but then I feel that we always can make time to communicate with our parents. My parents are in the same country but different state but not only me but my hubby also calls my parents once a week and talks to them. I even call them during the weekdays and speak to them. I am not that close to my father but yes I talk about everything to my mother. I am quite close to her.
