I don't think Valero could beat Pacquiao skill wise but he has the power to offset him. Before that he should face A class fighters first in the likes of Humberto Soto, Juan Manuel Marquez and other tough caliber fighters right now. He should prove himself first to worthy opponents. In my own prediction Pacquiao will knock Valero out because he's just too slow for Manny and I believe Manny will take his punches well because he had proved that against bigger opponents.

I really do not know as his mother is clamoring for him to retire this early on. I think she has a point that there is nothing that he needs on his life now that he is seems to be the undefeated boxer of this time. I think retiring now would mean that he can retain that title for life and be known for the all his life. But then I think physically Manny can still do it since I see him as young and very agile boxer that hwe can literally receive many punches and also can deliver powerful punches against his opponent. I would literally miss boxing if he decides to retire btu I will respect it. For now, I guess he will be concentrating his efforts in winning the hearts of people from his district as he is running for congressman in his district. I think this will be the start of his cue to retire if he wins the political seat.
