Okay so I decided to get in better shape, and lose a few pounds, so for a whole week I ate salads, cut out junk food, and drank only water. I tried to sleep longer, and I went on the treadmill daily and ran for half the time. But, I didn't lose any weight! In fact one day I even gained a pound!! Given up now the week after I've started eating the same I did before and I think I exercised once in the whole week. And guess what? I went down in weight! What? This makes no sense at all, and I want to be healthier, but it's hard to keep motivated when things like this happen! All this talk about health and losing weight seems a little funny to me...do you have any similiar stories?

Hi Wigima5, I don't have a trouble like you. Losing weight for me is just a piece of cake. I used to lose more than 30 pounds with 2 monthes and the trick is very easy. You could eat anything you want on the breakfast and lunch and you could eat as much you want, but keep in mind, don't eat anything after lunch. Have a try, you will get a big surprise.

I've never heard of skipping dinner but in a way it makes sense. Though I think I would wake up hungry in the middle of the night.

hmmm...tat's interesting. but it sounds a bit radical for me. I think I'd starve not having anything to eat for half the day.

I think it's water weight and you have to work at it longer than a week to see results.

Hello, Wigima5. This seems to happen a lot. A friend who attends Weightwatchers came to stay with us for a week. She didn't stick to her diet, and she was dreading her next meeting. Anyway, she was delighted to lose 1lb, and she stuck religiously to her menu plan for the next week, only to find she gained 2lb! I'm no scientist, but it seems as if the digestive process is a few days behind the eating process, so it takes about a week for good (or bad) habits to filter through. Don't quote me on that, but it does make sense to em.

best way to loose weight is controlled diet, regular exercise, not for a a week but over a much longer period. U can also play some sports. In India people practice yoga for controlling thier weight and its very useful indeed.

hm, ive never tried to do yoga before, but it is popular here. I do martial arts though. I have a good diet, so I think changing my diet wont change anything much. but thank you
