I see and hear many different clues that tells me that our economy here in North America will take a turn for the WORSE ...and it can happen VERY QUICK,, and much faster than we anticipate.. So can you feel it?.. are you PREPARED?.. what sort of measures are you taking?..Are you worried?..
Personally I have begun food storage .. and keeping emergency supplies at the ready for when that TIME comes... which from the look of things can be ANYTIME within the next 8 to 15 months!.... Well you might think im nuts .. but the TRUTH is OUT THERE!!...
Best of Luck!

I don't agree but I would like to know what you believe is going to happen...and that could happen quickly...that would make it necessary for you to stockpile food. It's going to take time for the U.S. to work it's way out of this recession...this isn't the first one we've experienced...but there have been signs of recovery.

put it this way.. in my province of Quebec they are already talking of taxing fuel up to at least.. 12 cents more per liter.. that increase will be felt by ALL consumers .... as prices on anything thats transported using fuel will ALL go UP UP..and continue to go UP.. So what im saying is if you have some extra money it would be very wise to buy all neccesities NOW!!.. before the BIG increase. and to store any thing that will last a long time..

I'm sorry, I didn't realize that you are in Canada. I agree that raising the tax on fuel will be a hard hit to your country's economy but that alone is not going to destroy your country and it may not even happen. I also read what you wrote above about not seeing anything beyond 2015. I think you're worrying unnecessarily. I don't know of Canada has had recessions before but the U.S. has and there's always a recovery. Right now many countries are feeling the pinch because so many are financially dependent upon each other but they are all working towards recovery as well. If it makes you feel more secure to have extras put away, by all means do that, but try not to stress yourself out too much.

I know the economy will get worse because I do not see any job relief in site. There is a lady who opened her own craft store 18 years ago and at the end of next month she has to close the doors. I feel bad for her because this was a long dream she had and now she has to give it up. it is a shame too because I love her store and have bought a lot of items there.
I am not really prepared. I do buy extra food and am trying my best to make extra money on here as well as a couple of other sites so I can save it. I know money is not everything, but it is necessary. I am hoping to open a savings account and keep some money in there.
