I noticed this very strange phenomenon these past days. It is actually scary, as it seems that we have forgotten all the good manners our parents has ever taught us. Did you ever had the pleasure to see that garage door open?? Or you could see last weeks breakfast?? Disgusting, i know, but that is what it looks like. Yes, i am talking about people yawning in todays life and never even have the decency to put their hand before their mouths. That is an awfull sight. Do it at home, but not where others can see that you don't have manners at all. I mean really, we do not want to see what you have in your mouth. We have our own, thank you.

Yawning in public. I think I do that without me really knowing it. Maybe I was to sleepy to notice. When I go home from work, I can't help it. haha.. I just get so tired that I forgot about what's proper or not!

Yes even I have this in the past that many people do not put their hand over their mouth and it does not appear nice. Sometimes I also feels like yawning but still I manage to put my hand over my face. And everyone should at least do this whenever they feel like that and even wash their face later so that one can avoid it in the future. There should be some law imposed for the same

I think we humans look the ugliest when we yawn. But since it is our body's natural reaction when we are sleepy and our brains lack oxygen, we have to accept it. In the presence of other people, we should at least have the coutesy to cover up our big open mouths with the hand or something. We were taught to do that when in elementary school. I don't like it when I see someone yawning with the mouth wide open. Does anyone know that yawning can be contagious? I know it is because when I see a yawning mouth, I have the tendency to want to yawn too.

The yawning is not the problem. It is that you are suppose to put your hand in front of your mouth. If you do that, you can yawn as much as you like and wherever you feel like doing it. Thanx. TATA.

Yawning is not such a crime as compared to a host of other ill-mannered peculiarities we see in people to the point of disgust. I hate to see someone digging their nose, belching, scratching at odd places, talking loud, jumping the 'Q', Any more?

I think you complain to much. I mean come one, what's wrong with people yawning? pretty soon you are going to say you find breathing disgusting or even blinking! Yawning is an unvoluntary action that happens in our body so we should be free to do it whenever and however we want.

Well, as i am complaining too much. Let me see if i can rectify this. If someone's breath stinks, i will complain of that bad breath, if you look at me and you are blinking too much, i might consider complaining, but if you yawn, WITHOUT, putting your hand before your mouth, i will definately complain. It is not the yawning, it is the way people do it. THAT, is what i am complaining about.

It isn't because you are tired, it is because your blood lacks oxygen. When you've been idle too long and suddenly move, you can find yourself yawning later on. That's why a person yawns after waking up in the morning. Yawning adds oxygen to the blood. If it bothers you, try deep breathing.
