Ever wonder if newborns smell the way the do cause they cry, poop and eat all the day/night long and the new baby scent calmsyour nerves just enough so when your brink of insanity and want to call it quites you don't, but instead you suffer through it over and over again just to smell'em some more?
Think about it, Why else would they come out smelling so good if not to get you hooked so when they stink to high heaven it'll be too late cause they can reconize you! LOL ;)
FYI: I love babies and can't wait to have one of my own :)

Yeah that's why I said "Once they stink to high heaven it's too late" In other words by the time they lose their scent they can focus their eyes and will respond to seeing certain familiar figures like their parents.

LOL..it's a bonding thing! I've read research that shows that moms and dads can even tell the difference between their own babies scent and those of other babies. Just go to show that we humans are animals which we do tend to forget at times!

Hello Tuffcookie! I dont have kids, but Ive noticed this smell and I always assumed it was more because of the babysoap they used than the baby itself.
I know that some baby dont smell like anything. Thats why I assumed it had to be the soap. I wash our clothes in baby soap, we smell like babies at home and my husband is often told that he smells good, like a baby.....he likes that!!
