i have heard this from several people that they tried a mystery shopping place or a ptc or etc to make money just for it to be a scam and even though you know of a different site that you can show proof and has been ok'd by other places they will not have anything to do with those anymore? this can be really applied to anything.. i mean not just ptc and etc (since heck even i was staying away from them for awhile because of being scammed) but like lets say there is a great restaurant and they decide to try it and they go on a really busy day and the service wasnt great and even though you had been there a million times and had good service they wont change their minds and think that its always bad like they experienced.. or a movie with a certain star sucked so they wont see anymore with that one person in it.. a club.. etc dont get me wrong im not one to like push people into trying things i want them to but i hate for people to miss out on things because of 1 problem they had with a similar company.. (like the mystery shopping) because i know that the companies i have used paid.. i can understand being way cautious but if you know some one that has had a different experence and can even back it up with sites saying its legit seems like they would at least consider it but some people are 1 time and your out! does this type bug you? like i said it could be applied to anything in life not money making stuff.. seems like some people just will not give it a second chance.. if they hated whatever it was then ok but if you have a chance to not get screwed over in something you wanted i would think i would try it (unless i couldnt afford it)

Hi, moonlitmagikchild. I am on your side with this. I am known to take another chance when things don't work out for me. I may still get burned but I did take that chance to find out. I never will try to let one bad experience with something stop me from trying again with something else. That is just how I am. I try not to let one bad experience get me skeptical. I will press on until I get what I need.

With a business or web site, I tend not to ever try them again. I have probably only had two exceptions to this.

well in that company i can see but the whole area of business i think its not a great thing to write off everyone that has to do with it.. maybe write off the company that did you wrong..

I guess I should preface this. In relations to dealing with a business I'm not talking about one isolated incident. I'm referring to a larger issue which may involve a few instances. Like for instance in my effort to get a 40 dollar refund from Directv that I was owed, I spent nine months of calls and letters before a complaint to the Better Business Bureau finally got my money. It was one major problem.

If someone, or something screws me over once, that is that. I am not going to give someone a second chance, after they blew the first one.

If the idea behind it is sound, I won't mind trying something again, even if I was screwed once. Of course I would be much more caution the second time round :) Sometimes failure is not trying enough times.

yeah and some times people fail due to not really being cautious to begin with

It depends on the situation first. In some cases I don't honestly care. And, in others it doesn't matter to me to be quite honest. I've been screwed over, and have tried again... as well as have times where I could have cared less. Each situation is different and I treat each that way, as it should be different.

very true.. sometimes its not even worth trying again because you didnt care much to begin with

ofcourse when something screws you once, you will loose trust for that matter.. but it also depends, like if one of my friend hv recommended something and it didnt turn out well, it dosent mean i will not try his next idea.. i ll say its more like a situational decision rather a thumb rule ;)

if someone screw me once then maybe i can forgive them but not to accept them in my life anymore. if they are able to do that once then im sure they will still going to do it again and again as you showed them forgiveness. so maybe ill just forgive but things will be change now.
