~Deleting Twitter Account~ What A Waste!

I knew I had a question, Im so frustrated with this damn Twitter! I've been on there for a while now only to just find out today that all those people Im following dont see my updates because there not following me. Aint that some ish!!
Im really pissed off, like i was wasting my time and I did search on the Twitter site for that answer and I really didn't find anything stating people most follow you to see your UpDates!! Im deleting my account what a waste. It seems like the only people who somehow benefit from this Twitter is the famous celebrities, everyone's gonna follow them, thats why they have a million followers I have 5. DO you have a Twitter account? What do you think about Twitter?

That is a shame. I am so sorry to read that. Yes, I have a twitter account.
I have followers and I follow but I am still trying to figure the whole scope of twitter out myself.
I have had a couple accounts and I find that if your account is based on a niche that you enjoy, it is easy to get followers. What I do is search, in twitter, using keywords based on my niche and find twitters that have the same interest. I start re-tweeting if I see tweets that are of interest to me and therefore, likely my followers. This almost always gains me a few more followers and then those people see my tweets.
I think that there is some strategy in using twitter successfully but like I said, I am still trying to figure it out.
I see a lot of spam on twitter though and that is always annoying.
