reading while doing something?

I tend to listen to audiobooks, so I can do most things while reading. In fact, I have discovered I really don't like print books that much anymore because they prevent me from doing more than one thing at once. I've always been a multi-tasker by nature.

No when I read I need to concentrate so there is no room for reading especially a book. Maybe a newspaper. I know my mom did that all the time. When I read though I like to curl up in bed with no distractions. I can mylot and play games on the computer and also watch TV. When it comes to reading though I need to do that and only that. There is one thing I can do while reading and that is munch out.

While doing something else, serious reading is definitely impossible.Reading ...it requires quite a lot of attention.

Hey careguarden! I think that reading is one of the things that can only be done alone! When I am reading I don't want to be doing anything else! I can't be talking to anyone or watching tv or anything else! I want to be able to concentrate on the book that I reading so I give it my total attention! That is why I usually read at night, when I'm in bed and my boyfriend has already fallen asleep!

I am able to read while I am talking to my husband, watching a film or doing other things. My husband talks a lot, and he tends to interrupt me all the time when I am reading, but I am usually able to talk and read at the same time unless I am reading something really complicated. I study online and when I am studying religion or philosophy, I have to concentrate on that, because the texts are difficult to read. I often read a novel or a magazine while I am watching a film, and I usually am able to concentrate on both things at once.

I can finished a packet of potato chips or drink while I am reading. In fact I do this all the time. The only problem is you won't notice how much you have eat while doing something else.
