How do we control the ragging in the college or institute?

The once cruel and bloody tendencies of ragging among students had been drastically bought down by drastic measures in colleges. Even at times like this the tradition prevails to tease and rag juniors on their first year of college. And by getting harass many of the students commit suicide..did you have any suggestions to overcome from this...if u have then kindly share with me ?

I am in a good position to answer this question since I am in the final year of B-tech. Supreme court has already made it an offence, now what required is just strict checking at college level.
