Who would you choose: the mother or the baby?

I know most of us had already seen this kind of scene in most drama in television series or movies and sometimes in real life too but I'm still curious on how one makes a decision if you were in this kind of situation. Usually the scene is a mother giving birth to a child and complications may arise during the delivery so if you were the father or the parent of the mother that's giving birth who would you choose to live? the mother or the baby?
If someone already experience this kind of heartache, I hope you wont mind sharing it to us and I'm sorry if I offended or made you remember the heartache you've been gone. I just want to know how one will react to this kind of situation. Thank you and God Bless!

The mother would always chose the baby, but for a husband to decide, I guess it will be better if he chose his wife. As for the hope that they can still try.

sorry but the mother would NOT always choose the baby..I wouldnt...I would rather live than have the baby live and I die..I have two kids that are already here to think of....and if was MY daughter and I had to decide I would choose her over her unborn child (unless she had instructed otherwise and even then I dont know if I could)

If I where a man and I have to choose between my wife and my baby, I would choose my wife it's hard to lose your baby but my partner is also important to me. It is really a tough decision. Both of them are very important to you but then you will choose one. It is hard to lose the one that you love and who is always besides you that's why I chose my wife. I hope this will not happened to me. It is really difficult to decide.

It would depend on the situtation...for example if it were ME giving birth and my husband had to choose between me or the baby I'd want him to choose me....Why? Because I have two children who need me and have already lost their baby brother and their father so to lose me to would put them over the edge...

Yes. I think it would be a wiser decision by your husband to choose you over the baby if that's the situation because you still have children that are dependent on both parents. It would be bad growing up if you don't have a mother who will take care of you and teach you ideas in life. A mother's care or similar to that is still the best love you can acquire in this cruel world
