Do you agree that you can never be too old to start something new?

Life is meat to be lived and nowhere are we told that at a certain point we have to stop living it. I feel that as long as we still have a will to do something and it is physically possible then we whould just get on and do it, respectin others of course.
If I had stopped and thought about what other people would say if I did this, that or the other then I would not be where I am now. It is my life and I am living it doing things within my reach and not thinking that others might be thinking that I should be doing other things. Maybe they are jealous that they did not have the courage to do what they wanted?

Old, antiquated, ancient, over the hill, has been, senior or whatever?
The person has a life and has the right to do anything that he wants, within reason and moral limitations.
What if a person has been living a life of sin and at the sunset of his life, wants to restructure his life in conformity with what's known to be morally, spiritually and legally right. Can anyone deprive him of this chance?
What if after doing detailed speculation and personal introspection, he decides to change his lifestyle: instead of being a grumpy old someone, he want to start being civil to everyone; say "good morning" to the people he meets on the street, say "thank" you when a favor is done for him, being concerned about other people's welfare i.e., being selfless instead of selfish, show kindness, compassion and empathy and start keeping himself physically and mentally fit so he can be able to start doing positive things for himself and the people around him. Is it too late for anyone to do this?
There are countless positive changes that a person can make or new things one can start at age 9 or age 90.
Afraid to be laughed at or ridiculed? I wouldn't give a hoot what senseless people think.
NO! One is never too old to start something new.
Have a great weekend, dilipmiester.

age is nothing but a number. i think society is in to the age things because it helps with process of elimination. it's easy to cut someone out because of age when you can't do it for race, gender, credit history, criminal background whatever. you most likely will not be able to conceive a child at 80, but you can still get married. why not?

To me, age only seems to be a number. A measure of how many years that you have been on earth. Granted, there are some things that seem to be rather impossible at a certain age. Yet, there are many more things that with a little determination, may be possible. To shut the door on certain possibilities just because of something like age would really limit the possibilities that life offers.
You never really know until you give it your best effort. If you fail at something, at least you tried and no for sure. However, if you just close the door on something because of your age, there will always be that seed of doubt in your mind that you could have done that. After all, life goes on until the moment it ends. As we grow older, certain things may be harder or even impossible, but not everything. We would really be limiting ourselves if we had discounted new experiences as impossible because of something as simple as age.

You're never too old to start SOMETHING new. But, it depends on that something. It's not impossible for a ninety year old to run a marathon, but there is a very minor chance. But, if that ninety year old wanted to write a book, what's stopping them? I think that for instance you can get married at any age that you can legally get married at. But, for the child thing, your body just won't allow it after a certain time period. So, it really depends on what that something is.

No it's never too late, as long as you feel you want to do it why not to try to do it?? The only thing would be to coop with what people think of you, but in my case if I really would want to do something I would really not care about what people think. Of ocurse there are things that cannot be done, like you listed at the end but for example it is possible to go to university at the age of 80 and If I remember well that happened, an old guy or lady started attending the university at about that age, I'm sure when the other students saw him/her started laughing or giving comments but I think it was a really nice thing.
