What will push you over the edge?

I know about a month ago or something, I heard about an elderly man who robbed three banks because his business was failing. He was caught, but the strangest thing about the situation was that he only demanded enough money from each bank to pay the month's rent for his business. With the way things are, I'm just wondering what would drive you to commit a crime?

I have heard of people robbing a bank to help pay medical bills. If they get caught, the state pays the bill.I could never do such a thing. One must also think of the terror you will put those poor tellers through. I bet there are some with emotional problems today because of this.

I would like to think I would never commit a crime, but who's to say? If my child were starving, I probably wouldn't be above stealing if that was my only possible way to feed her. If someone hurt her, I'd want to hurt them and make them pay, but I don't really know if I could do it. I don't think any one of us knows what we are capable of until we are pushed up against the wall and feel 'forced' to take action.

I must say I admire that old man. He took just as much as he needed for covering his expenses while he had a chance to take all and become rich. I think that I would be ready to commit a crime if my family or relatives were in danger. I would also break the law if my own life was in danger. I remember one story happened last year. It was Latvia or Lithuania, I don't remember that. Anyway, one man has murdered two high officials (I think one of them even was a judge or something). The man had killed these people because they had abused his daughter sexually during a long time and finally even murdered her. He was so shocked when he heard about it that he decided to make these basterds pay. After he had committed the the crime, he was declared wanted by the police, but people helped them to hide himself, because he had done the right thing.

Money it a thing in todays world which we cannot live without. If we have no money then we get thrown over the edge and then we tend commit crimes, which seem easier to dot hen work or start a business. In my opinion money is the main factor which drives people to commit a crime.
