I wasn't feeling the greatest this morning. I've felt halfway decent most of the day I know it's my digestion issues & lack therof a gallbladder. I'm debating calling hubby on the way home to pick me up some ice cream. That's my cure all... usually. It doesn't always work but it's the only thing that does at all. I asked my Aunt who's a retired LPN and she's like take tums... tums don't phase me unless I take them the instant I notice I don't feel right otherwise it's too late KWIM? I don't have apple sauce. She suggested toast but I dunno about toast doing mucy. I had tea earlier and I felt better drinking that but how much tea would be to much til this passes? So what do you do?

I have honestly had NO problems since the gall bladder went away - in fact - fewer problems Tums aren't for me - corn starch toast really does help - mostly dry toast but a touch of butter toast and tea are a very old fix for tummies

I have alot of stomach issues and I would suggest Pepto for sour stomach, it might be indigestion or stomach acid. I always keep seltzer water in my house cause that really helps. Those are the only two things I take when my stomach is upset usually the pepto does work.

I always put 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda in 4 oz of cold water and drink it. It only takes a few minutes for it to work and I feel much better!

Everytime that I do have problem with my stomach, I usually take enough amount of water. They said that its good to level up the acidic content that is causing your sour stomach. I tried milk before as remedy too but It leads me to indigestion. But if your sour stomach would bothers you constantly, then it would be best for you to see a doctor so that it would not end up to ulcer.

If it is acid that is giving you the problem, you should probably try some over the counter antacid, like Ranitidine (Zantac). If it is nausea that is your problem, oregano tea works well or something with ginger it in, like ginger ale or those lollipops that they market towards pregnant women for morning sickness, as they have ginger in them as the main ingredient. I know people who swear by a small bit of crystallized ginger as well.

If you think you are acidic, banana and apple could do. Both fruits has alkaline contents which neutralize the acid in your stomach. Avoid bypassing your meal as your stomach will create more acids if it don't have solid food. Eat on time and drink water.

maybe you should take antacids as your stomach may be acidic. in times when my tummy is acidic, i just eat some bread and drink a warm beverage like chocolate drink. tea and coffee is not recommendable; the caffeine content contributes in increasing the gastric secretions in the stomach, thereby making it more acidic. if you dont like chocolate drink, a warm soup is great and tasty too :)

Regarding your problem, the first thing you can do for an optimal solution is to detect the factors that contribute to sour stomach. Commonly, the main problem is the hyper acidity where the acid level is high in your stomach and affects your gastric metabolism particularly in digestion.. This happens which affects your stomach are always tend to be high because of the different foods taken that lead to high acidity level. In effect, you will have stomach ache pain and the feeling wanting to vomit and discomfort. The solution for such is to prevent foods causing the problem like foods rich in higher content of preservatives, processed meats, fruits like pineapple juices or any sour in content, beverages like soda drinks, soft drinks and flavored juices that is believe to have high content of citric acid level. Second is, know if the severity of your sour stomach happens before meal or after. If before meals, it is advised to take milk but not on coffee, tea or any caffeinated liquids that tend to increase pain reaction in your stomach. You can use some antacids if the problem is severe enough which maybe takes before meal time which gives your digestion a preparation of food intake and relieve pain. Third is, make sure that you eat foods less of fatty and acid content. This is the best prevention for the problem. Drinking a lot of water is great for it makes food be diluted easily and will not be stored long in your stomach. As you said, you are taking tea. This is good as long it benefit in relieving pain. Tea that are more natural based are effective in the body. The dosage can be taken in gradual content so as not to produce in addition of gastric hyper acidity. Good day

Hello Snuggle! Whenever I have this type of problem, I take Aloe juice. It solves the problem in no time and Im as good as new after. But, to be on the safe side, maybe it would be best to see a doctor. It might be stomach ulcers. If so, you'll get a prescription for pills to get rid of the ulcers. Good Luck!

I normally sleep on it if I have stomach pain or just take a few meds.
