Hey there! Do you like to sleep alone or you prefer sharing the bed with somebody, for example your husband?
I like to sleep alone, because I feel more free then. I toss and turn much, so I would be afraid of disturbing other persons sleep.
However, when I was a kid I liked to sleep with my father or mother, because I was afraid of darkness and "monsters" that are living in the dark

Well I like sleeping alone only if my partner is not with me, but when he is around, of course I love sleeping beside him, i just feel so secure. Anyway, the reason that I don't like to sleep with somebody by my side is because i feel that my space is small, even though it isn't.

No i didn't mean it that way and I NEVER said you are poor. What I am saying is that, you said in your post earlier that when you don't like your girlfriend beside you after "sexy time", then you just push her off your bed to the mat beside it. And we were not talking about the sizes of beds. The question here is if you like sleeping with someone beside you or not. Don't get offended, it's not a big issue, I was sharing my own idea to everyone.

Well I meant alone like without another person.
Wow, 6 cats is really much! I can't imagine, how could I handle that. I usually like to sleep in a cool bed, but these cats warm the bed nicely up, right? However, I could use some of them now in winter, because sometimes my bedroom gets really cold and I need some extra warmth. Thanks for responding!:)

Hey, pal! Same with me! I would rather use the inflatable mattress for sleeping than share my bed with guests. That would be most comfortable for me. But yes, like you said, this attitude may change after getting married, it's a normal thing. Thanks for responding, enjoy your day!:)

I share my bed with my sister, I have always shared my bed with her so I'm used to it already. Though if you ask me, I would really prefer to have my own bed, cause I just like sleeping and not thinking whether my sister still has space on her side or not. hehehe. If I get married, of course I would be sleeping beside my husband, though I would definitely like a big big bed.

I used to share the bed with my sister too in my childhood. He was very small then and she was afraid of dark, so I had to sleep by her side. Luckily, she grew up and managed to get rid of her fear, so I had a chance to get myself my own bed. Thanks for responding!:)

How I wish I could do that to my sister. To just get a chance to have my own bed.

Well i sleep with my mother at her side and now with my wife and kid. I feel the loneliness is like idle mind and think of any strange things. I feel its better to sleep with our loved ones to get rid of worries.

Well yea, the presence of a close person may boost your mood and grant you the feeling of safeness. There are many people who like to have somebody by their side. Thanks for answering!;)

I love to sleep alone! I like to be able to spread out across the bed, and it grosses me out to have another human on my bed with me.

The main thing about sleeping alone is the opportunity to stretch yourself as far, as you want to. Whole bed is yours to command, you can sleep in any pose and direction without disturbing other people.

I see...some people require absolute silence to sleep normally, most quiet sound or movement might wake them up. Actually I don't like much of light and movement too, it disturbs me. The more quiet and dark it is in my bedroom, the better. Thanks for dropping by!:)

When I was a kid, I used to sleep with my Mom, but when my sister was born, I could not sleep with her anymore... And I grew up alone in my bed... but now, I used to sleep again with someone... and I am beginning to tell myself behave... you are old now..., because could not really sleep alone in all our life...

My sister actually had such effect. She used to share the bed with mother since her childhood and suddenly she found herself quite old, but still unable to sleep alone, she was just so used to sleep with somebody by her side. It took time and nerves, but she managed to get rid of that fear. I am kind of the opposite person - I've slept alone since like 3 years, so I have no problem with that. Hope you'll get over that fear too! Thanks for sharing!:)

Hi, Biomechanoid. To me, it is not about if I like sleeping in the same bed with someone else. I have no choice but to sleep in the bed with someone else. I am married and my husband and I sleep in the same bed. My daughters does too. My younger ones. My son has his own bedroom. I used to sleep with my grandmother when I was very young. I was afraid of the "boogeyman".

Well yea, if you have no other choice, then you have to accept sleeping with somebody by your side, like it or not. But if the person you sleep next to is your husband or some other close person, then I think that isn't much of a trouble.
I think that many people were afraid of these bogeymen in the childhood, and I wasn't an exception. Thanks for answering!:)

I think I would like to sleep with my partner but I am still bachelor but I would not mind any pretty girl sleeping by my side. When I sleep I stretch my leg all the way up and down. So if somebody will sleep with he would never want to sleep with again. Another thing that I anore a lot in the night and wake up several times.

I think that there is no person who would refuse to have his/her partner by his side. But yes, if you like to move a lot or snore at night, it would be better for the partner to sleep separately from you. Thanks for responding!:)

I can sleep alone if I have to, but i don't enjoy it nearly as much. I have kind of gotten used to having my partner by my side and being able to cozy up to him when i climb into bed even though I don't climb into bed at the same time he does. Though he does enjoy having me near too which is always a plus.

I think it's good to have a partner by your side. You can chat with him in case you can't fall asleep or just cuddle or something. Thanks for feedback!:)

I am so used to sleeping alone. Who wouldn't want to have the whole bed for himself? Except I think maybe those who have jitters over the creature under the bed. I did try to sleep one afternoon... my wife was away for work. But I couldn't. Just couldn't sleep. I guess I have gotten so used to it already. Gotten used to having my wife to sleep beside with.
There were times I dreamed of having the bed for myself or probably us getting two separate beds, but when I did try... I couldn't sleep. =)

I see. You must be very used to sleeping next to your wife, but at the same time you would prefer to have your own bed. If you have developed any sleeping habits, like sleeping by somebody's side, then it's hard to change these habits. Thanks for sharing your experience!:)

That is the reason I got married in the 1st place so that I have somebody sleeping by my side. If my wife is not around, my youngest daughter sleeps by my side. She happens to Daddy's little darling.

Hey,
I ussaly sleep alone with my teddy bear. But sometimes my cat are sleeping with me and with my teddy bear. I like sleep alone and dream for nice girls, cars, and other things. I had some crazy dreams, than I dream about witches and wizard things brrr....

I think I've never slept with a teddy bear or any other soft toy, but there are lot of people who like to have these by their side at night. I also like to have nice and positive dreams about the things I want to get or achieve. But sometimes I also see very strange and senseless dreams, that make me think: WTF?

I think that it's all in how you were put to bed as a child. My parents always tucked me in with my big, lumpy, Leo the lion stuffed animal. I could not sleep without him. As I got older and had brothers and sisters, I always would wake up with one of them in my bed. Most brothers and sisters would put up a fight to keep their beds to themselves, not me. When I was out on my own and single, I would take a pillow and bunch it up next to me when I turned over. When I was married it was a no brainer, didn't need the pillow anymore....lol.
Later on in the marriage I became disabled. At times I would be in a lot of pain at night and rather than keep my hubby up and worried about me, I would sleep in the living room. We later got single beds. He couldn't sleep without me in the room. Well, we're now separated and I have gone back to sleeping with a pillow.

First of all, I feel sorry for your disability. I hope you're getting on good with your life.
I agree with your statements, it's all about the sleeping habits that you develop in your childhood. In your case, you're used to having something/somebody by your side. I was "trained" to sleep alone since I was a kid, so I have no problem with being the only one in my bed. I am happy about it, because otherwise I would have problems with sleeping alone. Thanks for answering and God bless you!:)

I am soo used to doing both sleeping on my own is ok as long as it is not in a small bed as i prefer a double bed even if there is someone in it with me.I am not scared to sleep on my own as i have done this alot in the past, but when i sleep in a single bed i find that there is always never enough room as i tend to roll over too far and fall out ,yet i never fall out of anyother bed.

It seems that you like a lot of space around you. I personally have no problems with sleeping in a single bed, however I had a few cases when I was sleeping in a double bed with another person by my side and I rolled myself over the edge in a sleep. Thanks for feedback!:)

it still nice to sleep with someone specially if with someone you love like your husband or partner. it makes you feel that your not alone in this world. specially if he will hug you or you will hug him or her then that will be a good night sleep always. though normally, i sleep alone coz i move a lot so if i have someone with me, the bed must be big for us or he or she might wake up the next day on the floor

I agree, it must be really nice to sleep close to your loved one. You can feel his/her presence and it'll make you feel safe and cozy. But yes, it's better to have a bed large enough for two person, or the sleep might turn into a nightmare for you or your partner, in case you or he/she likes to move a lot while sleeping. Thanks for answering!;)

It seems that you're really used to having somebody by your side. Of course after sharing your bed with somebody for such a long time it may feel awkward or even scary to sleep alone. But it's good that you have a son now, so there is somebody with you once again! Thanks for response!:)

Well of course if you sleep alone you have a little more freedom to move as much as you like and whenever you want to, but i prefer sleeping with my girlfriend beacause it's a really nice feeling to sometimes be a little awake at night and I knw she's there, and I can cuddle her before going to sleep, we can talk a little before falling asleep and the first thing I see in the morning is the only one I want to see in th morning, her :)

Ah, I know that feeling. It's nice to have a girlfriend by your side, just feel her close to you. I don't have a GF at the moment, so I have no other choice but to sleep alone, however I'm not worried about that. I am happy for you because you have such opportunity, thanks for sharing your thoughts with me!:)
