Sparks, Oklahoma is 40 mi. E. of Oklahoma City, experienced an earquake today as well. It was only a 4.4 on the richter scale, but scary none the less.
There have been several quakes here in parts of OKC or near it since the beginning of this year.
We've had about 5-6 since Jan. 1 of this year in areas in the far N.E. part of OKC., and what is scary is that eachone has gotten just a little stronger !! We are on the Madras Fault that goes right through Oklahoma, and our area is 'not' prepared for any kind of a serious quake!!
Luke 21:11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

Considering how close this EQ is to the New Madrid fault zone (NMSZ) it's certainly an area to watch.
Here's a good map of the area: http://www.ceri.memphis.edu/seismic/recenteqs/
And you are absolutely right. Earthquakes are picking up in frequency and intensity. A look at any good graph of seismic events for even the last 50 years will show a marked increase in activity.
...birth pangs...

I know it is in the bible that this things must come to pass. It is scary I was so scared for Hawaii yesterday I was praying a lot that they would not be hit. I have also been praying for every place that has been hit so hard. Like Chile and Haitia. I know they need prayers from us as well as help too I think things are changing and we need to take a look at what is happening:) Take care friend and try not to worry to much ok:)

The faults are moving, the earth is changing. The Haiti and Chile massive quakes are scary. We do have to pray and ask for mercy. We humans had been so careless about our home planet. We had taken earth for granted.
