what will you do when you feel bored in a class ?

chat online. I like chat at jabber and nimbuzz until now but this I can do if I'm very boring. I will take time to open my phone.

When I was in class before, cellphone is not allowed to use. All of the phones are turned off or in a silent mode. The only thing I can do when the class is boring was to talk with my seatmate using letters. We do have a notebook and because speaking is not allowed when the professor is talking we do write what we wants to say for each other. I also draw during boring class, I drew my professors face. My seatmate used to watch me whenever I draw our professor, he was entertained too. sometimes when I was sleepy, I used to ask permission to go out to go to restroom but the real thing was I did went to cafeteria to buy coffee or juice to let my brains awake. Or I will buy candy to chew inside the classroom.

I would listen and take notes. Might as well since there's nothing else to do. Sometimes I'll end up half a sleep and my notes would end up being scribble lines but most of the time it's eligible. That's the reason to go to class right?

hello there, during my time, cellphone is ot really that popular in school yet. so most of the time, when am bored in the class, its either i will be chatting to the one sitting beside me, or draw or write anything on my notebook or some scratch papers! sometimes i even draw faces that according to me is my teacher/prof! sometimes, i just day dream...hehe making stories on my mind or just looking outside the window or the door looking afar...or just waiting for my crush to pass by our classroom!

I'm not a brat or something but there are times when you just can't help it and you get bored in a certain class. I remember, there was once a class where every student, including me, got bored except for the two in the front row. It was like that everyday so some students find ways to stop their melancholy. Some played chess while others played games on their mobile phones. The two students who managed to paly chess during class hours were very funny to watch. The classroom was designed for a drawing class so our tables are usually long and our chairs are just mono blocks so it's normal that you can hide a board game and actually play with it. I just observed my classmates everyday to see what new things they would try to do when the boredom kicks in

Interesting question! Actually, when I felt bored at class, I prefer sleep rather than playing my cellphone, or I may read some interesting novels instead!

This is a good question. I had gone through many boring classes. I will let myself fly in dreams if the class is boring. I will come back only when the teacher finishes the class. I can be out of the class with my mind for the total one hour of the class and come back when I listen to students saying 'thank you teacher'. I also like to draw something in my note book or read some story books.

Yes, it is definitely the idea when I feel bored in a class to use my mobile phone and I cover it under my book and open it whenever the class teacher doesn't pay attention and play games or either chat using messenger with friends. Also, sometimes if internet connection is slow, I tend to play paper games with my friends like the X and 0's which is a great time-pass to be or talk with the classmates sitting next to me just so that I don't feel sleepy by hearing to the boring lecture!!

i need to remember it, cause in the class, it's long time ago. i mostly read novels when i felt bored in a class, or chatted with the one sitting next to me as u. but seldom slept during the class.

since i dont have mobile that time, what i normally do is write a poem or draw while my professor busy discussing the topic. it will looks like im taking note on what they said as i also look at them from time to time. right now, i guess students will easy to detect if they are texting or not.

Hi Dilip, I am consistent in my activities when i am bored in class, seminars and conferences. i used to sketch houses and draw roses. then i am awake and active again to listen.

I'd a small magnetic chessboard with me all the time.There were 2sitter desks.There were enough gap to place the chessboard between us.We used to look at the teachers and nod whenever he expects a reply.That was the time for thinking about the next move.Once decided it takes a small movement of head to turn to the chessboard and place the move.It was fantastic stealing time from class hours.Thanks for making me remember.

Using mobile phone while class is in progress is so unethical but I guess it is less unethical than being fallen asleep while your teacher is discussing... but yeah even though I use mobile phone inside the classroom, I always make sure that I wouldn't be caught...

From where I live and from where I take my education, we're not allowed to use mobile phones while classes are going on in the classroom or as long as teachers are in the middle of discussions. It is considered as a disrespect to the person in front and could give us the penalty of the confiscation our phones as well as having our names passed to the dean and be reported to the discipline office. My only option if I were to be bored is either to read a book that interests me or I will draw. Most of the pictures that I draw are a cartoon of myself feeling either sleepy, having a headache or just going to die. LOL

These are the problems with the students.They get bored easily in the class. Well i use my phone in the class to play game with the one sitting with me. I've got few multi-player games and we both play when getting bored. Or sometimes, we arouse the funny elements in our class to the ask stupid questions and entertain the other students. Or the students sitting at the last benches play loud music and then tell the teacher that they've got a call from home and they need to go immediately. Students also play some funny voice clips while the class is going to lower the boredom.

Yes it also happened with me. Then i use mobile phone for playing a games. Or i listen music in Ipod. Some time i gossip with my friend. If this things don't delete my bored then i go back to my hostel from my classroom.

i normally just listen to music if boredom hits me... sometimes we end up in the class writing notes and talking using the notes about our teacher... good thing we never get caught or were doomed. :) i miss college days... all of the wacky stuffs we have done back then hehehe...

I mostly us the my cellphone and message around the class or to other friends. Or maybe play a game on the phone, draw something and chat with people around me or simply just daydream. I have used a phone while in class, I still do and I will continue to do so in the future.lol

If I'm ever bored I just listen to the the teacher and don't do any thing else. But there has been some time where I have been bored. No do not use a mobile phone because I find that rude because there is a teacher teaching and she or he are wasting their time in the day to teach. So I never use a phone in class.
