I don't really miss Paula (not to say she wasn't a great judge), but I just don't. I like Ellen as her replacement. They made a good call on that one, when Paula stepped down.

I do miss Paula Abdul on American Idol as it was so funny hearing her and Simon argue with each other and some of the comments and facial expressions she gave made me laugh really hard. Ellen is not a music expert and feel she is agreeing or disagreeing with other judges to make it look like she knows what she is talking about. Randy, Paula and Simon are what made American Idol what it was as well as the singers. It will be even harder next year since Simon is leaving. Only a matter of time before Randy leaves as well.

I was not going to watch once they got rid of Paula but then when I heard Ellen was going to be on I was so excited. Now don't get me wrong I miss Paula because she was sometimes very funny in her comments because you couldn't always understand what exactly she was saying. However, I like Ellen because she is taking this serious but adding a bit of comedy to it all, which helps in breaking up the tense moments on the show.

I hated almost all of paula´s opinion(just like the ones of Kara now). I liked how she interacted with Randy and Simon(specially) though. I certainly dont miss her. I think out of the three(Randy, Simon, Paula) she was the less important one. If Simon left the show, then certainly it would affect the essence of american idol.

No I do not miss Paula on Idol. The last few seasons no one knew what she was talking about. I am not sure what has happened to her. At first she was the nice one who never said anything bad. Then later she went to not completing sentences and making no sense. I am not sold on Ellen but at least I can understand what she is saying and she finishes her thoughts.

You are right, in the Hollywood week, that was then that I realized what Paula was all about, specially when one contestant, I forgot his name, but he's really really good, sang Paula's song as an acoustic. I was thinking, how I wish I could see Paula's reaction while he was singing. And during the live show, I was watching the judges and I was waiting that someone would stand up and dance. Hehehe.

Yes, I do miss Paula because Kara is pretty annoying. Another reason why I miss her is because she is that person who sees the good in almost everybody and her funny antics provide much needed comic relief for the show. Ellen is funny but Paula's antics are more spontaneous than Ellen's. However, If Simon leaves American Idol, He will be my most missed AI judge. I guess I am just going to watch X-factor instead of American Idol since I really believe that without Simon, AI cannot stand on its own. lol

hi candyfairy21,
Oh yes I do. It is really different now shes not on the show anymore. Her contagious laugh, her kindness and being emotional, her sweetness and her fights with Simon. Miss it all. Ellen is a great judge and funny and I also like her. But Paula is really great. She was so sweet and kind in every opinion that she made. She never pull people down instead she gave hope to those who were eliminated that time.

I sometimes catch American Idol on Sky TV here in Britain. I always liked Paula Abdul and it was a big shock when she announced she was quitting. I haven't seen it yet with Ellen De Generes as a judge but she's bright and quick-witted so I'm hoping she'll be an asset to the show. Simon Cowell is probably one of the most famous people in Britain, next to the Queen!

Though she does not really make sense there. I missed the way she is. She is always there to brighten up those upset contestants. She's like the angel out of the complicated situations of the contestants.
