Are your music tastes different from everyone around you?

Everyone has different musical tastes, fine. But what if yours are so different or unusual in your country that you have nobody to share your music with?
I do, and my preference for a foreign language like Japanese doesn't help at all.
Luckily the internet is there so i can still discuss my music preferences with others who share the same tastes. But isn't it just sad? Sad that nobody physically close to you shares your joy? That everyone around you thinks your music is a bother?
I'd like to hear your experiences on this, I am just plagued daily by it.

Not being bothered is normal, but my problem is people not bothering about the kind of music us music lovers prefer. Listening to music with friends is so fun that listening to music alone will look completely boring.
We want people to care about the music we love, or at least I do.

I think that's the problem too. People that have music tastes are usually far from average people. Sharing music with people that enjoy it too makes it feel more worthwhile, so not finding people with the same tastes can be a pain.

Well, when I was in my high school, I used to have a different taste of music, really different from all of my classmates. I am interested in Japanese and Korean music and I am the only one who loves that music back then. I don't tell anyone, just my best friend.

Well, not everyone around me are of different music taste. But most of my friends are.Only a few of them enjoy the same kind of music that I enjoy and because of that sometimes its tough to get companions to go to music shows as they wouldn't like that kind of music

That is exactly my point, getting companions for concerts and music shows. Watching youtube at the same time as friends over the internet is still different from yelling with them in a loud rock concert. We need a solution to this.
All i could think of is, either to spread your tastes or you need to change yourself. I'd rather go for the first option though, i think most people would.

To each his/her own then. I still think I'm a bit lonely in my musical endeavors though. If anything, i think this loneliness will be solved if i can somehow get a girlfriend with the same musical tastes as me. But until then, I'll continue enjoying them as they are, over the internet with offshore friends.

No two human beings are same in nature. Therefore, same tastes in music are also unlikely. In the morning, when I am in the kitchen, I prefer to hv my radio on and during this time, I can listen to all kinds of music. In the early morning hours, when I am alone with everyone else sleeping, I listen to religious songs which are played on radio during early hours and from seven onwards when my son is up and noises from outside start pouring in my ears then choice of lively music on FM radio keeps my energy level up
