i love dogs, i treat them like a family, sometimes my mother would tease me because i treat them like my children ( im not married )!!!
so sad to hear about ur dog, but u have to move on, life goes on, ur dog would be happy if u have another dog just like him, someone u will treat as family and a friend...

I love dogs so much so i love my old dogs and nothing will ever replace them in my heart. We had a lot of dogs in the past and they are all gone except for 2 and got a new one just recently, that makes them 3. Every single dog we have was never the same with the others, each one was unique and touched our lives in their own unique way. They were all very special to us and our love for them are just unconditional just like the love they showed us. I love our dogs so much!

I love love love my pets. They are each individuals and there's something about each of them that is special.
I have lost pets and had to have a couple put to sleep. I would be very serious that I never wanted another, and my daughter would insist and make appointments for me to see this one and that one, I'd eventually go ahead and pick one out and I just fall in love all over again. That doesn't take anything away from the ones that are gone. I still love them and have pictures of them sitting around, even my beautiful bird (sun conure) that I had to witness seeing a bigger bird swoop down and carry it screaming away. Broke my heart into. Now, I haven't gotten another bird yet. But I look at them from time to time.

I know another dog will not be the same as your old one, but maybe its not suppose to be. Dogs in general give love unconditionally, they are loyal and make great companions. A new dog will provide you with that.
It seems you have a great deal of love for dogs and just maybe somewhere a dog needs you.
I love dogs and throughout my life I have had 8. All have passed on, one ran away. They all have left me with great memories.
