So much has happened in the past week, politically speaking. What is most on your mind? What do you think will be the greatest news story to come out this week? I think we are still in the quagmire of the health care reform. Is this truly a real issue or is the president using it as a re-election tool? There is so much to consider that the administration is forgetting how to multi-task. There is the Iranian nuclear issue. There is the issue of Afghanistan and Iraq. There is the joblessness issue. There is the earthquake issue in Chile. Let us not forget the Toyota recall issue. My gosh, just typing all of this is making my head swim. So, tell me what you think. This should be fun!

I haven't been paying attention to politics this week. The Olympics kept me very busy. I watched almost every single hockey game. I will go back to reading the news tomorrow. Didn't hear about the earthquake in Chile until just now.

This next week's major news topic will be that the Senate has been held up in passing it's unemployment legislation by the Senator from Kentucky. And I give the Senator high marks for finally standing up to spending more money without cutting spending somewhere else.

Nice, very nice. Another topic that I overlooked for the new week ahead. Just heard on the news however, that the unemployment legislation will most likely pass anyway. Here is what I am beginning to believe is going to be a big news story, maybe more so for me locally: Atlanta, Georgia is shut down due to major snow storm on Tuesday with a large earthquake hitting the west coast. Gosh, I hope not, most of the family I have left live in California.

The biggest topic in the world will probably be the earthquake in Chile. On here, it's likely to be whatever the Republicans can blame on the Democrats OR whatever the Democrats can blame on the Republicans. How can anybody multitask in a gridlock?

You are right. It would not be nice to hear about a tsunami hitting land somewhere. Unless there are continued aftershocks in the Pacific Rim Basin, I think we are alright for now. I think that Al Gore will continue to say this though, "See, I told you, global warming is getting worse." My response is this, Al Gore, "They are expecting snow in Atlanta, Georgia this week. Is this not crazy, or what? It is March. Al, maybe getting a job at McDonald's would be better for you. Nah, you would probably get the first order that you took wrong and blame that on global warming, too. Oh no, you actually might blame it on President Bush! Why not.
Thanks for your response champan.
