in the following discussion, What went wrong and turned it into a huge "bashing, gang up on one person" party? I just don't know how it turned into such an enormous battle between 2 sisters and one of their kids. This was on facebook earlier today. PLEASE help me understand. Quick background: Sister 1 makes decent money and so does her husband. They waste money on things such as an $800 ferret for their 8 year old son and then cry about not having money to pay for important things like her husbands dental surgery. Sister 2 works from home as an Independent Sales Rep and gets $214 a month in FS and healthcare for her 3 kids (1, 3 and 8 yrs old)while her husband works 50 hours a week as an assistant manager for the largest retailer in the world. They pay all of their bills and have hardly anything left after doing so but they also do not complain about being broke. Sister 1- disappointed with our tax refund.cuz we made a little more we got alot less back.first time thats EVER happened in the 13yrs we've been married.thanx obama Sister 2- Didn't change our tax refund amount. Everybody blames Obama. Most don't even vote or know anything about politics. Yup, Bush was an awesome president. NOT!!!!! Sister 1- we didnt make much more but it was enough to change our tax bracket. HnR block says its cuz we got $15 more a wk per paycheck with obamas stimulus package. Idk but it sucks. We really need that extra $500 for the dentist. Sister 2- He has done a lot of good too. We're LOW income and have seen the good he's done. It's not ALL Obama. He does NOT have the final say. It's the entire government that has to vote on these things. The House, The Senate, the Democrats and Republicans, etc.......All I'm saying is, don't blame only Obama. It does suck but that's what happens when you make more money. You make more, they tax more. I'm pretty sure it's always been that way. Sister 1- it doesnt pay to bust ur a$$ all year and try to make better for yourself. Maybe i should quit my job too. Then i might see the benefits. My health insurance premiums went up again and my coverage is the same. What about this GREAT healthcare plan? Ur right i didnt vote and now am glad i didnt cuz i would have voted for obama. And would be kickin myself in the a$$ for it now. Sister 2- I did and I'm glad I did. Obama isn't the one stopping the healthcare plan from happening. It's the Republicans that are fighting everything. We can't afford health insurance either. We have crappy coverage from J's job But I do have partial coverage thru the state, Thanks to Obama. Jay also can still use the VA for free, Thanks to Obama. My kids also get covered thru the state, Thanks to Obama. Our FS have been reinstated a few times or have gone up because of Obama, when they wouldn't have before he took office. Remember, I'm not living on others tax money. I am paying taxes from working at home as a business owner. Our government sucks, always has, always will. IF the healthcare plan is passed, pre-existing conditions clauses will disappear. I can be covered for HPV related problems that I can't get covered for now. Jay will be able to get covered for his diabetes that he can't get covered for now. He can't get life insurance now either but he will be able too if it passes. Sister 1- where do u think the money comes from to cover ur state insurance coverage? From the people making more money and paying more taxes in. Sister 2- I am paying taxes. I've been paying taxes since I was 15. If I made more money, I'd be paying more taxes too. I do know where the money comes from. I'm not stupid. I don't get as much money from the state as you may think. THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING.............DO YOU SEE WHERE IT WENT WRONG? This turned into a huge 8 hour battle ending in no one speaking to one another and saying some VERY hurtful things. I'm not so sure that it will ever get resolved and may have ended with the loss of some close family relationships.
