What do you do with your older PCs

I once had an old PC, and but it was still working, rather slow compared to the newer one. So, I didn't want to just throw it away since some one who does not really need a fast computer could still use it. I thought about different ways, and finally decided to donate it to an association which was helping the community. It was very much useful for the association. You might want to do that too !

I threw one away, but I plan to keep the ones I have now and study the internal workings of them. I want to learn to build/repair them, so I guess it would be good to have a few old ones laying around if I can find them somewhere...

You could wipe the drive clean (twice, be sure you do it twice or it won't be cleaned of your information) and donate it to a school or charitable agency. If you get a receipt, you can deduct it from your taxable income next year so you owe less taxes. There are lots of people that could use that computer!

I like opening them up and seing what is inside them and I find that very interesting. All those parts and circuits..

I sell them, because I don't want to keep them in my house and getting dust :) I prefer to sell them, no matter on what price and use the money for a new one.till now I have changed 3 PC's and a laptop, but now i am using my cousin's laptop, because I don't have money enough to buy my own, and I really don't have to, because he don't use it that much anymore

old PC's ... this was my main concern when i switched on to mac. first thing i would do will b to remove all the personal and official data and may go forward with a thorough format so that no one can recover those data and misuse it. i would probably give it to my close friends or relatives :)

Well, I own a 5 years old PC and mini laptop at home, my not so obsolete PC was still worth for me as I use it for typing my paper works as my laptop is use for networking

i put mine in ebay for sale. and guess what i received a lot of messages from those who are interested. some of them will buy it for their young child to use just for practice just in case than buy a new set since kids dont know how to take care computer yet. while others will buy it for parts. so better post it in ebay for sale.
