I have a friend, a beautiful girl who wants to make a tattoo on his body. Honestly, I do not like a girl with tattoos. For me, a woman's body is not the proper place to put a tattoo ... how about you, agree with me? my opinion, a tattoo is more suitable for men, for women .... do not blame people say you are a wild woman

Well according to some religions she shouldn't modify your body like that.

The bible passage which you are trying to refer to is Leviticus 19:26-31 and more specifically, Lev.19:28. That is what the Christian anti-tattoo argument is based on. The passage DOES NOT forbid all tattoos. It forbids adopting pagan practices. As long as a tattoo isn't meant to pacify a pagan deity, there's nothing wrong with Christians getting tattoos, be they ,an or woman. See religioustattoos.net I am Christian and I have 4 tats so far, with plans for many more.

why women and not the guys? just curious as it seems to be a double standard going on here.

I meant tattoo at all, not just women, no double standard here, many religions say this, and the bible does says no tattoos or markings, thats everybody not just women.

I never really thought about tatoos but one summer i traveled to another state to visit relatives. While i was there i found out a cousin made tatoos. So i got two of them. I consider thoses two permanate mistakes. At the time i was studing the holy scriptures. The lady i was doing the study with showed me a scripture that Jahovah said not to make any markings upon your skin. She told me at least i did it in ignorance. I dont think anybody should do did female or male.

And??? I would rather look at Jahovah's word....... "and you must not make cuts in the flesh for a deceased soul, and you must not put tatoo marking upon yourselves. Iam Jahovah" Lev.19:28.

I like tattoos but do not like the way they look. I have 4 tattoos but all in places where they can not be easily seen. I do not want to be a little old lady with tattoos! But I want to be able to express myself now.

I am not a wild woman.. YET. Seriously, if I ever do get a tattoo, it would be a small, feminine one in a discreet place.

even if it's for men, i don't like people tattooed on their body or anywhere. i just don't like tattoo. i think i heard from somebody that it is not healthy to get a tattoo.

There are no health risks to getting tattooed. In Canada at least, tattoo studios are health inspected and the artists follow strict standards of cleanliness. The shop I go to is cleaner than a hospital! Of course, after a tattoo is done, the aftercare instructions must be followed as well. I have 4 so far and they all turned out beautifully!

well, that's good to hear. i said it not healthy maybe because in the past, when i wanted to have one, tattoo studios were not that good compared to studios nowadays. and maybe, i guess, the government went stricter than before.

My boyfriend will totally agree with you. He finds that a tattoo on a girl makes them look cheap. I don't have any tattoo mainly because I'm afraid of needles. If I wasn't I would probably get one that was very small. It would also be hidden from the world, where only I could see it.

yes, should not put a tattoo on your body ... tattoo is a work of art, but it does not mean your body can become a canvas work of art

Why not if that is a person's choice? Who is anyone to say what is right or not right for a person to do to their body if it is not unhealthy? even then, who is anyone to judge? I'm not trying to be rude but I'd really like to know what makes anyone feel they have the right to decide such things for another person and even people they don't know. just curious.

I have a small tattoo on my thigh. I don't mind to see a small tatoo on a woman's body. Unless it does not deter her facial beauty. I think that a small tatoo on a woman's back make her sexy.

Of course you are entitled to your opinion but it's your other comments that I find offensive. How does some art work on a woman's body make her a "wild woman"? I feel you mean this as a derogatory term. Imagine if you fell deeply in love with a woman only to discover that she had a tattoo. Or if you were to fall deeply in love with someone and when you proclaim your love and ask if she returns your feelings and she explains that she could never love a bald man...yes, it's silly isn't it? There is absolutely nothing wrong with a woman having a tattoo; just the same as there is nothing wrong with a man having one.

Why? Does it change the character of a person to have a little paint on their body? My daughter and I have matching tattoo's. She wanted to give me one for Mother's Day one year. Tattoo's are just another way for people to express their beliefs, like and dislikes, etc in an artistic manner. I say, to each their own and let God do the judging.

if she wants a tattoo don't interfere. it's her body and not yours. she's gonna do what she wants.

If they are out of sight, fine, but when they are all over the body or where they can be seen if a short-sleeve shirt is worn to work, they make the person look more like a gang member than a serious business person. When I was in human resources, if anyone walked in with tattoos on their hands or arms, it was an automatic no hire, since we needed professional looking people on our staff.

I'm afraid I disagree with you. Body modification wasn't created only for one gender or another, so it's perfectly suitable for both males and females. A tatoo in the right place can enhance someone's personality, and when the tatoo is well done, it turns your body into art

I personally feel that if someone wants a tattoo it is their choice. I am a woman and I have one tattoo and I feel if you are beautiful the tattoo will not change that at all. I think tattoos can be for both women and men.

first of all...a beautiful girl must e referred as her not as his....secondly tattoo is for style...so everybody has the right to tattoo on his/her body.

Hi advokatku, I'm a woman. I don't have any tatoos but not because I don't like them but more because of my age and the fact that I have a fear of needles and self-inflicted pain. In my day the only women that got tatoos were the biker chics. These days they have some really beautiful tattoos for women. One of my daughters has a rose on her lower arm. It's small. my 24 yr old has a butterfly on her shoulder blade. and my 23 yr old has 2 dolphins leaping towards each other over her name on her lower back. They are all beautiful girls and I don't think the tattoos detract from that.

I am a woman and I do not like tattoo on myself. However, whatever other women (or man) decide to do on their body, it is their choice. Tattoo nowadays is an art form. It is amazing how creative their tattoo artists can get. In other cultures, tattooes serve different purpose- a rite of passage, lucky charm or badge or courage.

I have 9.5 tattoos, and of them, 7 of them depict things that are important in my religious or spiritual beliefs. Can you list reasons why you believe that they are not suitable for women? I don't mean cultural and religious reasons, either. I'd like to see cold, hard facts.

I don't like tatoos on men or women. But I seem to be the one out of fashion/fad. I thought over time, they would grow on me...but they haven't. I still don't like them.
