How did you prepare for your wedding?

As far as I can remember, I prepared for my wedding for 7 months. When my boyfriend and I decided to get married, we decided to spend our own money for the wedding and not ask our parents to spend for the wedding. It required a lot of financial preparation in our part. We also prepared ourselves emotionally since we were having a long distance relationship. The most important thing that my husband and I prepared for was our spirituality. We got married in a temple, it is a sacred place so we really prepared for it with much prayer and fasting. We should be pure when we enter that place. It was a good experienced preparing for the big day. It helped us value the importance of preparing in advance. What did you do to prepare for your wedding? Did you have some difficulties with it? How did you cope with it?

my wedding...we didn't prepare it too much. you know i asked my wife to get married, it was 3 days after i met her for 5 minutes only in her office. she said yes..wow...lucky me. then a month after that i told my parents that i'm gonna marry with her, a month after i told my parents, i came to her parents to proposed her to be my wife. a month later i got married with her. it takes 3 months after i met her, then she became my wife. we didn't prepare our wedding, it's my family and my friends did, i've found no difficulties with it...i'm so lucky to have her besides me, now this my 5th month to be her husband...i'm so lucky guy, she's so beautifull..i love her.

You are indeed a lucky guy. I think there's no need to procrastinate once you met the right person. You were both there in the right time and in the right place. You were led to her and its a wonderful love story. Maybe we could say that we have been with the wrong person for a long time in our lives but meeting the right one puts an end to our search. You are both lucky to have each other. I wish you all the happiness in this world.

I had a year and a half to prepare for mine. I had made a lot of my wedding items such as my bouquets, my center pieces and my boutineers. I had made things really simple and kept things well under budget. Before my husband and I got married we had a joint savings account which was our wedding account and also for a down payment on our house. We had told our parents that if they wanted to contribute to the wedding reception they could, but it was not required. My parents had given us money towards the down payment of the house and bought my dress. His mom also put a lot of money into the account to help us out. My husband and I got married in a local park and my friend's dad facilitated the wedding. I wore a simple white dress and my husband wore a suit. We had a reception in our backyard and served hotdogs, hamburgers, cookies, salad, deviled eggs and punch (he and I do not drink). We toasted to Sparkling Cider and served a regular sheet cake.

Your wedding sounds really nice. We dont need to spend a lot of money for a wedding and a reception. It was really nice of your parents to help with some on the expenses. My parents and my husbands parents also gave some money for the reception. Aren't we just lucky to have our parents and their support all throughout. From the preparation, to the wedding, after the wedding and who knows when we would have kids they are also going to help us out with some things. We are really lucky.

Hi p3ks, i prepared for my wedding day for about 3 months. it was our 'physically' prepared. me and my husband live in different city at that moment, so sometimes i have to work alone to prepare anything, that makes me found some difficulties.

My husband and I also lived in two different places and he got to visit me only once in a month while we were preparing for our wedding. My husband's last visit was 7 weeks before our wedding and it was a lot of thrill too because that was the only time that I got to see him in 7 weeks and that was our wedding day. I like the memories of our wedding. It makes me smile all the time. I am almost a year married now and my husband and I are excited to celebrate our first anniversary.

I just stared to prepare for my wedding which is 6 months later. The wedding hall has been identified. Recently i am searching for the information of wedding photos and the wedding rings.Although the wedding maybe the dream of most of the girls, but i don't want to spend to much on the wedding. The greatest significance of the wedding is to witness the love of the couple.Love is the most important thing.

Congratulations! It is exciting that you are gonna be married soon. I also did that before my wedding, I searched for photos in the internet, something for my invitation and I also got the idea of our wedding ring from the internet. We should also be practical these days and be wise about how much we spend. Weddings are all about love and you are right, that's the most important thing.
