Report to PayPal now.. Ask them to help you, reverse the payment and change the password.

First of all don't fret just mail the incident to paypal with exact time and date from which you are not able to access the account or when you have been hacked. I think paypal can help you out with this. But from the next time do not give your paypal information to any other uncertified websites so that you can never be hacked again.

Please contact paypal immediately. Give them your details and also the details of the person to whom you sent the payment. They will block that person's account as he/she is a suspect and will recover your money back from them. DO not panic, paypal will try their level best to get your money back. And as soon as your account is opened, please change your password monthly or weekly and avoid taking part in fraudulent sites. Make payments only to sites with secure certification and also check if they have forum and try to contact the admin of that site as well.
I hope you are successful in getting your account back.

I suggest that you better report to the paypal admin as soon as possible, along with the details of when and how you have been hacked.
Just keep report to the admin until you have a response from them.
Good luck!

I was also a victim of this kind of modus operandi last year.
I don't know if the hacker was a third party or something. I don't want to point my finger to anybody without any proof but from what's been spreading the internet they are saying that it has something to do with paypal itself. I don't know if it is an inside job or a program or an individual but anti-paypals are saying that paypal is a cheat.
I have a paypal account (a new one which I made after the incident) but I don't use it to my earning sites. I use Alertpay which, I think, is much safer than paypal.
I lost trust in using paypal.
