I just checked with Union Bank a while ago. Apparently, there is a P350 annual fee. I've just started earning online less than a month ago and I don't have much yet in my paypal account. I just want to know what other banks can we use, that is free of charge, aside from Union Bank. Thank you!
And, what banks can be used for alertpay? :)

Can't find anyone using other banks than Paypal. I want to know how to withdraw for paypal too because I might get my first pay out next month hopefully when I reach my pay-out. I think 350 pesos is ok its like buying a whole size of pizza the only difference is you can use it in the long run especially when you are into online money making business that only requires paypal for you to get paid. I might inquire in the bank soon before I get my pay out, good thing there's a branch near our office.

No, I don't have oDesk. How does it work? Can I open an account just to get the debit card? Thanks.

It is very convenient to use Paypal because here many banks accept Paypal. Right now I use China Construction Bank in Hong Kong for my Paypal account. As to Alertpay, although my account was verified. However, I have no money in my Alertpay account so that I have no idea about it.
I love China

I use my Danish Bank account, i have no troubles with fees at all. But ofcause that requires you to have a Danish Social Security number which you can only get if you are Danish Native or living legally in Denmark.

I don't have alertpay so I can't help you with that. Maybe you should just start using Unionbank when you already have around a hundred dollars in your paypal account so that it would be more worth it if you decided to cash out of paypal. I plan to do exactly that. As far as I know, there are no banks in Manila that offer paypal withdrawals free of charge. I think Unionbank is the cheapest already.

you have no choice but to invest that amount to verify your paypal as theres no other way to verify you paypal but eon card only. unless you have credit card or perhaps virtual card but then even in virtual card you will need to invest for money.
and to verify your alertpay, you can just submit your identification and a proof of address and wait till they approved your documents, to withdraw money of course you can use whatever account you have in any bank.

I am using the same bank as you Union Bank. I don't know what other banks that are affiliated to paypal. I think there is no other bank that are free of charges. Just embrace that amount otherwise you can still withdraw that amount when you would like to close your account. For the meantime stay to Union Bank. Have a nice day!

As far as I know and have reaserched on it, unionbank is the bank you want to go with. The annual fee is okay since you can add the eon card as a debit card then you may add the account number to that card as a bank account as well on PayPal. Once you add it as a bank, there is no other fee when funds are being accepted with your unionbank account. Unlike other banks such as bpi, when you transfer funds they charge you a fee to have it credited to your account. You may want to research on it online since there is a blog out there that tells how much are the fees with other banks.

Much better to use EON debit card from unionbank, because it works like a credit card and what's amazing with it is having a virtual bank wherein you can see all you transaction and even pay bills through the internet. It's so easy to link using EON debit card.
