Do you look like a specific family member? I've included a picture of my sister and me with this discussion. People say we look a lot alike, but I don't really see it. I know some of you are adopted, so you may not know if you look like any of your family members. One of my cousins and her husband adopted a 3 year old boy about 15 years ago. And he even though he is not blood related, he actually looks a lot like her husband.
So, who do you resemble?

In your comment of the picture you mentioned my smile was a bit different. I took a look and uh-oh! I didn't do that on purpose, I just realized I am taking after my mother. We tease her because sometimes when she smiles, I could swear she is trying to do an Elvis curl type thing with her lip. Looking again at that picture, I have a small bit of that in my own smile.

Ambie, I love your curls!
I have always been told I look alot like my father. I don't see it, of course it's a bit harder to tell between male and female. My sister and I don't look alike, nor did my brother and I.
My aunt went to the hospital one time and I went to visit her. The nurse thought that I was her daughter, so we do look alike. When my hair was shorter I think we looked a lot more alike.

I was going to say that but I forgot to mention it in my response! I love her curls too! Mine is curly too, but only on the bottom because my hair is so thick that it weighs down the curl and goes straight on top, but if I pull back the top and leave the bottom out it's curly ringlet city!

PurpleTeddyBear, you mean like in a pony right?
I love really curly hair as well as curls like yours where it's at the bottom and not the top...
I wish my hair was naturally curly!

I see your resemblance in the face a little. I resemble my mother and my sister resembles my father. We have certain featureds from both sides. I look just like my mother except her nose, my sister has it! My daughter looks exactly like me but skinny!

I have one younger sister if no one knew we were sister you wouldn't know we don't favor at all. My niece looks just like my sister and my newphew looks a lot like his dad but he his my sister's brown eyes.My niece does have blue eyes like I use to have when I was younger but my eyes turned hazel as I got older.

some of my neighbors said that I'm much more like my father. maybe they are right. I have my father's narrow eyes, straight black hair, and of course his stubborn attitude. LOL. fortunately I have my mother's sharp nose and her fair skin. so, I think I'm not bad at all. LOL.

I have two brothers and two sisters and I am the youngest. The oldest brother and sister look nothing like the younger three. We have/had bright red hair, so there is a definite similarity. I am the only one in the family with blue eyes: the others have dark brown. I don't think any of us look like either of our parents.
This is a photo of me with my two sisters.

I've been told that I look like my dad. This was back when I was a teenager so the last thing I wanted to hear was that! LOL Now it doesn't bother me as I better look something like him. He is my father, after all! LOL
My sister and I used to look alike when we were little. So alike that people thought that we were twins, even though we're 2 and a half years apart! LOL It didn't help that I was on the tall side so we were basically the same height...that is, until I passed her up. Then everyone thought I was the older one! LOL
I have to say, I see a remembrance between you and your sister. You may not see it, but I sure do! LOL I also saw a resemblance between my husband and his late father, before I ever met them. They just looked so much like father and son that is was obvious to me. However, I can't say the same for my husband and his siblings as they don't look anything alike, even with them having the same biological parents! LOL
Happy mylotting!

My mom has said that people used to ask her if my sister and I were twins when we were little kids.Like you, I was taller. She is two years and one month older than me to the very day. But now she is 5'7 and I'm 5'11, so the twin thing wouldn't work.

Hey Amber! Wow! There us no doubt that you two are sisters! You
definitely resemble each other! You have the same features.
eyes, cheeks, lips, hair, but there is something more alive
about you! You definitely are the younger sister! You probably
could pass for twins, well sort of because the resemblance is
amazing! I thought she was so much older than you the way you
talk about her! She sounds so much older, well you know what I
mean!lol I guess I just had a different picture of her! I
would look like your Grandmother next to the two of you! And
definitely not a "real" family member! I have dark eyes and
dark hair (well, now it's dyed dark hair)! I would stick out
like a sore thumb in your family!lol

Mindy has always been more driven. You wouldn't normally get a big smile from her in just day to day doings. She always looks pleasant, but she is very take charge. She had her Masters degree by the age of 21, so when she set her course, she didn't veer from it. No one can "out stubborn" her!

You look really lovely, in fact you both do and yes you can see the sisterly resemblance. There is just my sister and I in our family, she looks a lot like mum and I look a lot like dad. It’s funny because my sister and I are quite different both in looks and personality although we are close and get along very well. I have one daughter who looked like me the day she was born but the next day the resemblance she has to her dad was very evident.

there is no doubt, i look like my mom very much.
i still remember when i was a child, i went to my grandma's(mom side), the people there who saw me, all said i was so like my mom. haha...i felt very shy then. and always said nothing, but walked away silently.
now, if they say so again, i'll give my smiles to them, sometimes i also will say thanks or sth others.

i definitely look like my father and brothers. i am my father's son, that's for sure. and i am also my brothers' brother, another fact. and being so, how can i not look like them. regarding the phenomenon of growing resemblance between couples, i think there is an explanation to that. but it's not genetics, of course. sometimes, even with pets, the theory applies....

You do look very similar to your sister:) And very pretty sisters, I have to say:)
People do say that my sister and I look similar...but neither of us thinks so and we laugh at it. We are 7 years apart...but I have to agree when people say that we look like we are just a year or two apart. Both of us would take offence to that whenI was in my early twenties. I wanted to look all grown up and not like a 13-15 year old...and didn't want to look 'ld' then...lol We didn't know which way people meant when they said it. And to make matters worse, people often mistook her to be the older one...because I was slim and she was sightly heavier than I was. No, both of us are used to people saying t though we find it hard to believe..because we don't think we look similar at all.
I don't have a scanned pic that I can post:( I'll try to find one.

I definitely see a resembalance between you two - the eyes and mouth areas. I don't really look like anyone in my family - although some say I look a lot like my father's mother. My one sister looks a lot like my brothers, but my other sister is like me and doesn't look like anyone.

I look like my mother, that was my father said. But if we look at the mirror together I do not see any resemblance, maybe on the eye brow or in the eyes , or in the nose or cheek part or the way we smile but for me we are not look a like. Me and my brother look like twins. He is my boy version and I am her girl version. We look a like in our face features but not included the teeth. When I smile me and my sister are look a like, but not when we frown and we have a normal face.

Hi Ambie! There is definitely a resemblance between you two. I see a spark of a joke hiding behind your eyes, which I don't see in your sister's...at least in this picture. When you guys were little, who got in trouble first?
Glad to see this picture, because the only other picture of your sister I've seen is the one here in your profile page.
