Are you satisfied with Windows 7?

Until now, I still can't say that I am satisfied with Windows 7 because from time to time I still experience something wrong with it. Techie people, most of them, do not recommend windows 7 but most of the computers now use windows 7. If you are using this operating system, can you say you are satisfied with it?

Hi there. I just got a brand new laptop last week and it came with the Windows 7 Starter edition. I'd say I'm pretty much satisfied with it, if not a little impressed at how everything looks. Granted that I am a casual user (i.e. I used my laptop to simply surf the net, listen to music, watch videos, use MS Office applications, etc). My only gripe, with the Starter edition, at least, is that I can't change the wallpaper. I'm thinking about getting an upgrade, though, to the Home Basic version when I do manage to save up enough money for it.

Hi there. Thanks a lot for the link. Now that that's solved, I guess I wouldn't be in such a hurry to purchase the upgrade. I guess I'd be sticking with Windows 7 Starter Edition for a while.

Hi,
Of curse Windows XP is better for Windows 7. But after some time Windows 7 be better than xp because windows 7 is uptated every new with some good news and programms. I use Windows 7 now one week. And I don't have any problems. Only some games are laging on Windows 7 it's because my computer has not so fast for Windows 7.

I have only had my laptop since early in January, and of course it has windows 7 on it. The laptop before this one, had vista on it, and it was a very buggy program. I have not found anything wrong with windows 7 as I really do like it. I have had no problems with it at all, and I am glad that I bought this laptop. I highly recommend windows 7 over vista or xp. Take care, and have a very good day.

Hi sharlionse, I have a new laptop which was loaded with Windows 7. Prior to this, I was using Windows Vista on my desktop. Comparing both Windows operating systems, I feel Windows 7 is so much superior than Windows Vista. So far, I have been using my laptop for more than 3 months, and I haven't encountered any problem pertaining to the operating system, like BSOD. Windows 7 turns out to be better than my expectations and I am satisfied with it.

I like XP more, it is more stable than that of windows 7 and it has been tested already. Most of the people I know switch back to XP after using windows 7

I don't use now windows 7....and i never tested it in the fixed version just see something on the beta one!!
In reality it appeared to me a normal os you know microsoft in many cases have os not perfect when they release the new version so probably there will be some problems too delas with some features and they will be fixed in the future!!even on xp when it came up on the market need some upgrade to be better...

I haven't heard much complaints about it yet. Since vista is crap and XP stable but soon will stop being updated a lot of people are forced to use windows 7. Windows 7 however is a bit of a memory-eater, therefore I had to strip it completely in order to use it without getting a lagging computer and yet feel that my computer is safe.

I think there are always weird versions of Windows that act funky. I find that most OEM versions of Windows produce more problems than retail or system builders licensed versions... And sadly, even good pirated versions are even more stable than some of the legit versions.
I would pay for Windows 7, because I'm an organization nut, and they have given me the power to organize the programs I use in the proper orderly fashion. Down on the taskbar, I have every program I want to use pinned. They had the right idea with the Quick Launch bar, but you can't afford to have that when you need space to show all the windows you have open. I usually have about 21 windows open at all times. So to have them pinned to the taskbar, but also stay put there when opened, makes me happy. Since I never reboot my computer and always open programs up in a specific order.
Windows 7 has better event viewers. They show a very verbose log in comparison.
Windows 7 has even better driver support. I've only come across problems with drivers for USB related devices, as well as some old printers/fax machines/other office material.
Compatibility mode is easier to use and much more stable in Windows 7.
You have better hardware management in Windows 7:
Harddrives are better managed by Windows' software.
Solid State Drive management support.
Android CyanogenMod USB internet tethering support is better.
Battery life increased on laptops.
Better support for better graphics cards.
etc
A lot of people tend to get caught up in the bad hype of a product and generally refuse to believe how good something is after the company betters their product. Windows 7 is great to use, and I now recommend it over the use of XP because of the crucial parts that make it better than XP.

I am sure satisfied. Although I am a mac user, I get use windows in my college. You can't avoid the viruses but anyways the general speed and appearance is looking great even in an average computer, like the ones in my college. Microsoft has done a good job with windows 7
