What do you think of people who rely on "surveys" to decide who to vote for?

I think it's alarming that people are actually considering voting for certain candidates just because they're leading in those surveys. I believe we should take the results of these surveys with a grain of salt. It's not always reliable anyhow, and besides, we should still look at a candidate's platform rather than base our votes in their perceived popularity. I am counting on the Filipino people to vote wisely in the coming elections. I hope they don't vote for the obvious "trapos" not just for the Presidency BUT especially for the Senate positions (a crucial block of the government). VOTE WISELY PEOPLE!

I don't really depend on surveys because I don't see any accuracy to it... They should also conduct a survey here in Mindanao and broadcast it. The problem with it is that they're only concentrating in Luzon.

hello inkyuboz, that is really sad. you know even my mom would say, she wanted gordon but she would vote for the winner. although, i love my mom but i think that was the dumbest perception and i believe i too was like this when we voted for the 2004 election which was very stupid. we should vote wisely. and while you guys still prefer to think about it then good luck, keep researching.

I think it's irresponsible. I for one never look at the polls. I listen to the candidates and make my decision based on the facts. Not the polls, surveys or here-say. And also another thing I do is I vote for the person, not the party. I fairly liberal but doesn't matter whether they are a democrat or republican I vote based on the facts and what they are going to do for us

Personally, I won't rely on surveys to tell me who I should vote for. Not to be rude or anything, but I feel that people who depend on survey results when it comes to choosing their candidates just says how these people are uninformed (to a certain extent) and that they choose whoever's just popular and not because of the platforms that they have and what they can actually do for the country. You're right. Filipinos should vote wisely. I think we've experienced enough broken promises and sometimes senseless protests. It's becoming a cycle and it's tiring, and it leaves a bad taste in the mouth. I really hope Filipinos are now becoming smarter in choosing the people that should lead our nation to progress.

hi inkyuboz, I strongly agree with you vote wisely. I do not agree with the poll surveys, honestly I am tired with the politics here in our country. Politians for some are just hungry and very thirsty for power.. I am a proud pinoy but I felt a shame sometimes, I felt shame for our President gloria and for those who continue supporting her, corruption is very evident but still our leaders still want to support those who are known to be corrupt.. I dont care about who leads on poll survey but my wish is , I dont want villiar to win as well as erap. One is thirst with power and one is Pride. sorry for the negative insigths lol

If you vote based on what a survey says and don't learn about the candidate yourself, you shouldn't be allowed to vote at all.
