Hello friends
My little child is 7 months old and growing up. she is very active and playful all the day but I face problem at the time of feeding her. She needs whole lot of activities at that time eating. So my curiosity is whether all the babies are similar at the time of eating? Please let me know how do you feed and what would you suggest me at this point.
Thanks and Happy Mylotting

My daughter is now a year and a half old. We never really had trouble feeding her. She would eat everything in sight. Literally. Any kind of food, veggies, rice, meat, fish. She also ate paper, cotton balls, q-tips, coins. As long as she could taste it, she would eat it. And yes it was hard trying to get her to sit down and eat, so I didn't even try. After I gave her food, she'd walk off and play. After a few minutes, she'd come back for another spoonful, and walk off. Sometimes I haven't even put the spoon down and she'd be back for another spoonful. She just swallows her food up. She's still like that nowadays, but we've started to sit her in her seat during meals. She sees everyone sitting down at the table and she's inclined to imitate us.
Now, she knows what she should and shouldn't swallow. Although i catch her most of the time picking stuff up and aiming it towards her mouth, i'm able to catch her before she can put it in her mouth. Other times, I just ask her to spit it out and she does with a smile knowing that I caught her.
Good luck with your daughter! I'm sure it will work out fine and you're going to have very busy happy days!

Hello apoljuice1, nice to hear from you and thanks for wishing good luck.
I think all children think same at some points like they think that everything in the world should be chewed first. She likes to chew the spoon rather than chewing the food( with 2 growing up tiny little teeth ). Another common thing I can find is that she also likes to imitate. She likes to wave when I go out for walking or office. She likes to see cartoon characters, animals birds and even other children.

hi ample03 i think you will be having a good time with your daughter . i dont know whether all children will be like that ./ but i think most of them will be ,like that only . i am not married yet but my sisters son would used to do this . he is 2 years now and when he was even smaller he also wont eat well and we all will do many things to make him eat . the best thing is i think do what she likes when she is eating . i am telling about the food but the other things like toys etc . . .

Thank you dilipmiester for your response.
Me and my wife always try to feed her what she likes( Of course those foods are recommended by pediatricians) but instead of showing toys and all those things she just closes her mouth after two or three spoons and starts expressing something not to eat anything more.
