Hey guys we can already feel the heat of the sun now. I'm thinking a lot of activities for this summer with the kids but haven't made up my mind yet. My son need to go to a summer class for a month to prepare him for kinder 1. But since it's summer I don't really intend him to go to class everyday. Hehe. I'm thinking to let both of my kiddos go for swimming lessons. However, modern dance is also quite enticing for them. I don't have a lot of money to spend for all those activities unfortunately. Maybe you got other brilliant ideas to share here with me and other myLotters too. I would love to know your plans this summer.

My kids are older so very different ideas here. My 16yo will be partaking in the Taekwondo World Cup Tournament in Belarus in August or September so she will be spending her week night evenings training and her days working at Tim Horton's. My 13 year old daughter is a rep soccer player so she will have practices twice a week, a game one evening a week and occasional weekend tournaments. We are pretty much tied up at home so won't be going anywhere... not that we could afford it.

Oh yeah my children are definitely younger than yours they are just 5 and 3. ;) I love the idea of developing children to sports I believe that they learned a lot of values from it. My son will be a future football player too as he likes it over basketball. ;) Kudos to you and your children as they are very active with sports. With all their activities I doubt if you got time go anywhere. Goodluck to the tournaments.

Still to cold and rainy here to think about summer. They have about three more months of school anyways. We will probably just take a few day trips, different local sightseeing. A couple of summers ago, I sent my boys to a baseball camp. They spent a week with a local minor league baseball team, teaching them the basics of the game. Then on Friday night they got to watch the guys that they spent the week with play a real game with a firework show. They really enjoyed that. I might send them to that again this year, if funds are available.

During the summer I usually watch my grandson and this year I was also thinking about swimming lessons and asking his parents if they would agree to classes.
And I did have a few other things on my list of must do's and visiting the beach, and the zoo was also included...8o)

Yes, we can already feel the heat of summer. We are also thinking of enrolling our 4 year old daughter to a swimming lesson. She had her first asthma attack last week and we think that this is a good exercise for her.
IF our budget permits, we would like to bring her to drawing and painting lesson this summer. She really would like to learn how to draw.
We have lots of ideas this summer but budget is tight.
Enjoy your summer.
