What was your favorite moment of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver?
My favorite moment was when Joannie Rochette won the Bronze medal in Women's Figure Skating. It really takes a lot of strength to do what she did after hearing of her mom's sudden passing. I don't know if I would've been able to do that.
It was pretty cool to see all those different Winter sports. Some of those crashes they have looked pretty dangerous. I hope no one was seriously hurt.
Thanks for any replies.

my favorite moment was when the mens canada hockey team took the gold!!!
that game was so intense in overtime, then crosby scored the winning goal.
another favorite moment from the olympics was when canada broke the world record for most gold. 14 gold medals is quite an accomplishment.
alot of people were discussing that canada didnt own the podium.. well with all that gold, id say we did :)

Thanks for the reply. It was a really successful Olympics for Canada. To go from a host country that didn't win a gold medal when they hosted an Olympics to breaking the record of Olympic gold medals in a Winter Olympics games. The Mens gold medal hockey game was really fun to watch its too bad I missed Sidney's Overtime winner. lol.

I think that was one of my favorite moments as well. She showed so much grace and courage. I know that I couldn't have done that. I'm always amazed when the Olympics are on because I watch sports that I never watch during the year. Not a hockey fan but what about that Canada vs. U.S. match.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I do agree. It is really nice to be exposed to all those different kinds of Winter sports that I wouldn't be able to see at all. I got to learn new things about those sports. Hockey really is a kind of religion here in Canada. They reported that 16.6 million people watched it on T.V. and 80% of the population watched at least some of the Hockey game. It was a good thing that Canada won because I think there would've been rioting on the street if they didn't win. Congrats to the U.S. Men's hockey team for winning Silver. A lot of the hockey media didn't even pick them to win a medal in Men's hockey.
