From a recent local news, a dog bit a 1 month old baby while her parents leave that animal with him. What a horrible news to hear. On today discussion with some of my co - workers, even some of them are pet lovers, they might re - consider this situation. Animal is animal, nonetheless. Some strongly debate that they would never get a wild animal play around their kids. That was too risky to take. So, would you dare to leave an animal with your kids, or infant?

I may be biased because I'm not really a pet person, and would absolutely never own a dog. But, I don't believe a 1-month old baby should ever be left alone with a pet, no matter how friendly. Animals can feel threatened by a new baby, and may react accordingly. Even if he didn't attack the baby, what if the dog had decided baby made a nice comfy spot to take a nap? A 1-month-old can't even turn over on his/her own, much less push a dog away. They're probably lucky the baby "only" got bitten.
If I had children, and pets, I would possibly have a cat; I would still never leave a cat alone with a baby, because you just do not know what is going to happen.

For the better safe of your children, I hope that they either better train their pets, or never let your child play with an animals like that. Too much horrible news lately.

I agree with you. I would never leave my child with an animal. yes, animals will still be animals no matter what. They have different instincts than humans and we can never tell what is running through their heads.
No offense to animal lovers but sometimes, I cannot understand how they can let their pets sleep with their kids on the same bed, let alone a baby. The baby can contract asthma if he inhales their fur or something. I mean it's just not normal for me. Of course this is just my two cents worth.

You are right. I couldn't trust animal like that, no matter how much I love them. Their animal instinct one day might get crazy, and I would never let that chance happen.

That is a big sounding no. I would never leave my child beside an animal no matter how i trusted that animal. You can't predict the animal behavior and what it will do to your child. So in order to stay safe one must be careful enough not to let their babies left with an animal alone.

You should not leave your baby with dogs and even cats. You will never know what might happen. Animals will still be animals and they have instincts that are totally different from us. Their wild instincts might kick-in no matter how domesticated they are trained to be.

I share your views.
I am a dog lover
but I will never leave my dog to babysit my babies
That is insane and the parents should be persecuted
Animals are always animals and I never trust not even a docile pet.
They don't reason out things like human beings. They behave using instinctive.
