Hi!
Mcdonald's and Jollibee are both present here in our country (the Philippines). Foods served are western, like hamburgers, pasta, fried chicken, ice cream, etc. Both served these kinds of foods.
But one thing you need to know that Jollibee is of Filipino origin. Although their food are western, they add some Filipino touch to it.
Mcdonald's on the other hand, is of American origin. the first foodchain to serve.
Personally, i love eating in jollibee more than Mcdo because of the taste. Their burgers are more juicy than the other one. Especially the spaghetti which contains lots of sauce and mind you, it's sweet.
Anyways, that's only my opinion. How about you guys? what do you think about it?

Considering the fact that up until this very moment, I had never even heard of a Jollibee. I guess I have to take McDonald's by default.
I'm addicted to McNuggets.
But trust me, it sounds like Jullibee has some fans....I would love to give it a shot some day.

I've always been a big fan of Mcdonald's, so I'm definitely going to stick with this. I just love the fries to much, not too much of it anyway, LOL.. but the days that I eat at McD's, I will request for some hot fries..

I love them both but i like Mcdonald's fast food more.. I love Mcdonald's Mc nuggets, french fries, twister fries, cheeseburger deluxe, big mc, double cheeseburger, filet-o-fish and mc chicken... I used to order meals at Mcdonalds every week. however, when i have got diabetes, i have stopped ordering fast food frequently.. when it comes to chicken, i prefer Kentucky Fried Chicken.. I sooo love hot and crispy and original recipe with lots of gravy! yummy!

We don't really have a Jollibee where I am from. But I have heard other members talk about it. It does sound really popular. We have many different fast food restaurant chains where I am from competing with McDonald's. But I do prefer to eat at McDonald's the most. I especially enjoy their french fries.

When I was still a child, I was really fond of eating at Jollibee. But when I was in college, my interest towards Jollibee restaurant faded and changed. I loved staying at McDonald's restaurant located near at our school before. The ambiance was really great and so I have come to love even there foods. But somehow, I realized that the foods they are selling are almost very similar. Maybe, they vary a little when it comes to the taste. But still, almost exactly the same. So now, I love both. I can eat either at Jollibee or McDonald's restaurant.

I would prefer Mcdo, no one can beat their foods.( no one can deny that) Maybe you don't like the Mcdo because their price of food is more higher than in Jollibee but it's worth it. Their environment is clean. I don't care if mcdo is American origin. I'm really a fan of mcdo.

I like jollibee better because their food are jucier and therefore more fatty. I would like to correct you that McDonalds also tries to have a filipino flair on them when they have featured foods which some are influenced by filipino cuisine. I don't share with you the likings with the jollibee burger. I don't like it that much because of the smell...sometimes even if you have eaten it hours ago you can still smell it in your mouth when you burp. One time my officemate came to the office and just by smelling I could tell he ate jollibee burger before coming to the office...strange isn't it? But i honestly think that it tastes good.

When it comes to chicken I'd prefer KFC, lols, but in Jollibee and Mcdo, I prefer Jollibee's chicken. I also love the BBQ Chicken, their newest product on their chicken line, I think. When it comes to french fries, I like Jollibee too but I'd still prefer Mcdo if given a chance. On burgers the cheapest one, I love the taste of Mcdo's burger. But because I'm a parent too, we usually dine at Jollibee, I think its the kids first choice when it comes to fast foods.

One thing to note that not many people know is that Jollibee is slightly of Chinese origin. Not sure if the founder was completely Chinese or a Chinese Filipino but all I know is that it doesn't have a purely Filipino Origin.
With that said, I prefer Jollibee over McDonald's, simply because they know the country's taste preferences. We Filipinos prefer our food to be at its extremes, like very sweet or very salty. Jollibee serves just that. Comparing McDonald's to Jollibee is like comparing plain rice to heavily seasoned fried rice, it's heavy competition for the foreign foodchain.
Unless McDonald's will start adjusting to local tastes, it will not get as many local fans as Jollibee. McDonald's can't just simply change their flavors because they need to serve the foreigners that come into the country the same way they are treated anywhere else in the world. As far as competition on the Philippines goes, McDonald's can't win.
That and, many children here think clowns are scary, while a mascot animal with a smile on its face and sounds like it has jolly in it's name has more appeal to children.

Well, I prefer McDonald's more than Jollibee.
I love McDonald's cheese burger and fries. The thing that makes me prefer Mcdo more than Jollibee is because McDo's customer service is more professional. You feel imporatant with McDonald's.
However, there's one meal that McDonald's can't beat Jollibee. What is it? The superb burger steak. This is the only meal that i always eat at Jollibee.
Now that I already have kids we often go to Jollibee because kids love Jollibee.
