Both Action Comics and Detective Comics featuring the first appearance of Superman and Batman, respectively, sold recently for over $1 million. Do you think Amazing Fantasy #15 featuring the initial appearance of Spider Man will be the next million dollar comic book?

Probably not. It was last sold for US$ 210,000... so making it into a million seemed an unlikely stretch. If a bidding war explode, however, it may just be so.

I think the amount paid for both the Superman and Batman comic books seem rather high. But if they turn out to be legit amounts paid, then could we be in one of those golden ages where comic book speculation goes off the charts. Also, maybe there was a time factor working for the above two in that those were 1930s, 1940s comic books, whereas Spider Man's first appearance was in 1962.
