a relative of ours recently spent around $150 to buy a pair of jeans with holes in them! to me, that is a little crazy! my daughter does have a few pairs like these but these were hand me downs from others. i dont really see what the big deal is but i would hate to spend my hard earned money on jeans like that. especially a great amount like $150!

I think that this represents how I feel. I do work hard for my money and if I had someone in my house who wanted the holey jeans they could either buy them second hand and distress them themselves or wear their own jeans until they wear out.

Those things are hideous!
It's so funny cause when I was a teen
that was a big trend with the rock bands.
Some of the rock band guys who wear these hideously
shredded blue jeans. Sometimes it looked like they
were unfortunate homeless people.
Those pairs of pants cost more than my entire wardrobe
I'll bet.
Funny how even trashy looking clothes can be
so expensive.

Hi youless. Like you, I won't buy these kinds of jeans. Why bother, they all eventually get holes in them after awhile anyway. LOL Just think of the money people could save by buying regular less expensive jeans and letting them wear out on their own! They'd be in style and rich! LOL
Happy mylotting!

we are actually discouraged by the office heads to wear faded jeans, because we work in a very respectable office. so what more with old looking jeans with holes or tears. with that reason, i do not buy jeans with holes. and so it becomes a dislike to me to wear old looking, faded jeans with holes.

It's beggars belief that this is called fashion? Why not buy a cheap pair of jeans and put holes in yourself? Simple! You save yourself a fortune that way, but mind you, why on earth would you want to walk around with holes in your jeans? Looking like a tramp or someone who can't afford jeans without holes in? I would never buy these type of jeans my friend, it doesn't make sense does it, actually paying more for less material LOL and why pay extra for someone to tear holes in your trousers? Fashion is weird at times.

I do not buy clothes that look worn out when they are new. That includes jeans and shirts both. I want new clothes to look new. I am not interested in the latest trends, because they come and go.

I share your views. I might sound old fashioned but I don't like a jeans tattered or with holes on it. Not even if it might be the current trend. I prefer to buy a normal jeans without holes in it. I would not feel comfortable with holes in my jeans with parts of my body or hairy stuff appearing from it. LOL

LOL - I can't believe people spend so much money on *designer* jeans with the worn look. It's so much easier to get hold of an old pair of jeans and wreck them yourself.

Do you know I paid $60 for a pair of jeans that had maybe $5 worth of fabric. My daughter has about 6 pairs of these new holey jeans. I think all of the jeans combined have a total of $20 in fabric. I am guilty of buying them. Yes I have bought holey jeans. However, my daughter and I realized that all the jeans with holes are exactly alike. The holes are in the same place. We have been buying inexpensive jeans on the clearance rack. We take them home and cut them ourselves. We also bleach them. They come out awesome! She has even made a pair as a gift for her friends birthday. Its a great way to save money and keep up with the styles. It also allows for together time for you and your children. dl

I do not buy jeans with holes. It might come out as a trend or something we consider as a style. But in my case, were I conduct training programs and often face people, I see to eat that I appear presentable and a little bit formal. So what I wear are often slacks and polo shirt.

I don't buy jeans with holes in them, but I do wear my jeans until they are worn out. Once they have holes in them, I still wear them, until there are completely past the point of wearability.
Back when I was in high school, I knew some people that would buy regular jeans, and then cut them with scissors to make them look used. I don't understand that, I think that's a pretty lame thing to do. I don't know why, but it's alright to me, to wear jeans that I wore out, but it's dumb to wear ones that you cut yourself.

I will never buy jeans with holes. Lol. My husband has a jeans with holes. He says that it is fashion in his country to wear torn jeans. I can't take it because nobody in my country uses those shoes. I don't think even beggars use those jeans in my place. You can even see his legs through the hole. I call them beggar jeans. I was so embarassed when I saw him with the torn jeans for the first time. I was dating him at that time and I was so shy to look through the torn part, when I saw it for the first time.
