Hey friend is sachin important to india wat made you ask this question let me tell one fact since 2007 sachin has scored 17 centuries in both form of the and one more thing he has got in 90's around 18 times in both forms of game.As far as getting slow in the 90's who doesen't do it well sehwag is an exceptional even sometimes he also does the same thing.sachin has scored almost all his centuries in the opening slot.he is the best and will be the best.

This debate about sachin come over too often. He is simply a genius. There is no way anyone can say he plays for his personal milestones. He is one of the persons who has made India the dominant force that they are today. And if you go by his performances he is just getting better by the day.It is sometimes not important to have an aggressive strike rate alone. One needs to have a steady head and guide the team through and it is incalculable how many time the little master has done so.

i am a lil disappointed in you.not because you question sachin's ability and calling him an old man but i expected something more like his batting style,his mannerisms. one valid point you made his sachin got old and he cannot play the fast bowlers the way he did in his early part of his career. every body noticed it especially in IPL but if you have watched him closely,you should have seen that sachin knows his limitations and likes to time the ball rather than slogging.for your info,you must be getting confused with the strike rate of 86 you see on sachin's profile.just remember that he maintained it for 20 + years. having got out in 90's for almost 17 times,he does get jittery and something i dont want him to change. talk about gambhir,his strike rate is comparitvely lower than sachin but ofcourse if you keep comparing everyone with sehwag,even viv richards might look like a rahul dravid to you.

I cant agree with you. i dont belive that he plays for personal milestone,and i have never seen it. one think i will say shewag is an exceptional character who wats to hit every ball out of the ground ,expecially when he is in 90s.viru thinks that as much time he spent on the ground ,the more the probability of getting out.so he scores as much as runs he can in quick time. you said that sachin have low strike rate.he have strike rate more than 85 . remember one thing he started playing cricket before 2 decades. in those days ant thing above 200 or 250 runs in a 50 match game was excellent one .so in those days players played only in that much speed or strike rate. only after a few years cricket become more aggressive. in these recent years sachin plays with good strike rate above 100. his total strike rate is the average strike rate of old days and recent . so his strike rate may be little less than 100. i will say its very very good to have a srtike rate about 80 for a player playing about 20 years. also look at his age ,can you name sportman who plays such a great knock in these ages and creats world record in every match he plays. i will agree with you partially with opening shewag witl gambhir. because left hand right hand combination, the know each other very well,in ipl,renji ,every where the plays opening spot. and from where did you found out that sachin seems rusty againt new fast bowling,he is a classic player of all bowling. each and every bowler feel afraid to bowl to him. have you heard one hot news,"Sachin is going to be nominated for Bharat Ratna". and you are saying that he is selfish.
