I have participated in a discussion here wherein the author claimed that she felt better when she was sick once when she ate watermelon'
This really made me feel curious about this fruit( which i later found out , is actually a vegetable) and so i browsed for it's health benefits.
And i was really amazed to discover how nutritious it is, and all the while i thought that it's only water and sugar.
I found out that it contains 4 most important nutrients namely lycopene which is an antioxidant, Vitamin B6 which is good for mental health( hehe i like this one),Vit C and Vitamin A.
Amazing fruit, i mean amazing vegetable ! (^_^)

I didn't know watermelon was considered a veggie! How cool that it is so beneficial to us. Did you know that tomato is a fruit? We always seem to consider that a veggie. Too funny. Thanks for sharing all the benefits of watermelon with us. I wish I could eat it more than I do, but it's hard to find since it's no always in season. When it's not in season, it's a lot more expensive. I guess you have to pay more for better food for you. Thanks again!

i remember when i was a kid. watermelon plantation was just at the back of the school. there was a small hole at the back of the school fence where one person can easily pass through. this where we comes out from school and go to the plantation and pick up some watermelon and eat them there, without the knowledge of the owner.
i also remember, one of my uncle used to cook watermelon and it tastes yummy. he only add some ground meat or fish and it is already a dish for lunch.

I always thought of watermelon was a fruit, in fact I looked it up on several websites and I could not find it listed as a veggie. Love watermelon though, it is in my top five favorite fruit(?)or my favorite veggie. During my search I saw a recipe for deep fried watermelon. I don't think I can handle that.
