Do you make your sim Characters based on real people?

LOL, guilty! I once made up the town with a whole group of my friends. You know you are a serious SIMS addict, though, when you start asking people that you know in REAL life, if they remember doing something you prompted their character to do on a simulation! Especially one that they've got no clue about! LOL

A kindred spirit! I am terrible about SIMS. I can literally sit for HOURS and SIMulate away. I like making people, but I prefer to make houses and stuff. I'm really good at making outrageous designs and tricking the system into letting me do wild stuff with the settings. With the people that I make, I often go with a theme and then name them accordingly, which I love because I enjoy making up cool names. (I only did one community up with my friends names.)
Maybe you could help me with something? I found a site that was supposed to show how to do SIMS 2 cheats, but I can't get them to work. When I hit Ctrl+Shift and then type in the cheat code, all I get is a line at the top of the screen where the item goes and when I hit enter, it all disappears.VERY frustrating!

I've been trying to create a sim based on a celebrity or family member. I must admit I wasn't too good at it. Now I usually just make sims look good using my idea of perfect appearance. I pay especially much attention to female sims, because I am a man and I want to make these female sims look good in this game.

I made alot of celebrities in my sim game.Some of them I was good at making and others are too hard.I ran out of characters to make so now I'm making just anyone that looks good.I have trouble making the men because they don't have much of a choice for them with clothing and hair dos.The women are easier to make.

I hardly ever make my Sims from people I know or celebrities. I like the anonymity of creating a random character. I do occasionally make one of myself although it's usually nothing like me. I tend to make one of me as I wish I was, in regards to look and appearance anyway.

I like to make them from characters in books or TV.
We had all of Harry potter in sims one.
I mean the teachers and Harry and the weasleys.
My weasleys had chickens and vegetables in the garden because you could find those things on the internet.
I had a go at making stuff for it because there were programs to help you to do that too.
It was such fun making the teachers do unteacherly things.
In sims2 it was a bit harder to customise things but easier to make characters so I had a few goes at making characters but really I preferred the original sims as they are more like cartoon people.

I make up them from my head. Just picking up what looks nice and making them work together. It really works :) you should try too.
