Do U Enjoy Tagging other discussions????

Every other discussion keeps on driving me to the tags page until we add one---its just that i do not have any tags(may be appropraite ones) to add for that particular one .
I do add tags to new discussions which have few responses or to those which have been started in the last few minutes.
I never add tags to those which were started hours back coz---either i end up adding existing ones or it doesn't show them up if its too old
How about you---- do you add tags to each and every discussion you respond or you're patient enough to skip it each time it routes you to add one

Do I tag other discussion everytime I would comment/response? No, but like you I may add tag for those discussions that are started couple of minutes ago. There was one time I tag a discussion then as I viewed, my tag was missing, so from then on, specially if the posts had several replies already, I would go ahead and skip the tag bar.

hi primeaque---there would be certain limit for the number of tags for each discussion---once it reaches that limit it does place your tags(provided you have added relevant one) in the discussion but replacing the existing one---i think so.great day.

I wouldn’t necessarily say I enjoy tagging other people’s discussions but do occasionally tag them when I see that they missed a very apparent tag which would improve the search ability of the discussion. I do so even on older discussions because by improving their tags will possibly help in bringing them to the fore and getting more responses.

Adding relevant and apt tags would help older discussions get more responses.I never had to add them for older discussions though---the ones started by our ancestors in here.great day.

hi May why would you add a tag that already exists .if at all you add a new one then it might help you to leave a trace apart from your response box

I don't tag usually on others discussion. I tag only when I think there are very few tags in the discussion.

That really a good decision sumanadep that would help us to make some room for appropraite ones if we do not have any relevant tags.great day.

Hi there sunnycool...
Well, sometimes I do, sometimes I don't...
I like them and enjoy them because we help other myLotters to easily search other topics/discussions using these keywords...
I don't like them sometimes because it is so hard to think of good keywords... Aside of that, sometimes, they are just waste of time (when I'm not in good mood...) =))

I used to tag dutifully before but have since drop tagging except for my own started discussions. Does it make any difference when we tag or don't tag. I know it make easier for admin to place the discussions under its appropriate interest. But wrong tagging would get us into trouble so would not take the risk.

@Alice..it is supposed to be the OP chose the interest but that is what I read here that admin place the discussion appropriately according to the tags. I don't understand how it is done. I've got to check those discussions that usually appear by the side of discussions whether they have the same interest or is placed there according to the tags.

The ones which appear by the side ways aren't of same interests---they appear based on the tags we add to the discussion Zandi

The only reason I add tags is so that when I go back into the discussion and reply again I don't get asked to tag again.

yeah you'd think that if you skipped it the first time, it would say "ok he skipped it, don't ask again"...

The only reason i have started this discussion was one particular discussion was annoying me to add a tag

Hi Sunny,
Since i learned about putting on tags--i am good enough in using it. i always get it from my response or the highlight of what what i posted. i enjoy doing this one. it's kinda challenging to me.

Nope, I don't tend to add tags usually, and most of the time I just press "skip" rather than enter a tag.
I used to enter tags for every discussion, but now, as lazy as it is of me, I just cannot be bothered

It does become more of a annoying thing if you visit the same discussion to add back and forth comments. If we have our notifiers turned off then we dont even know if some one awaits your response----then we can easily skip that part only once else it would be at your back until you add one.great day.

No i don't. I usually skip the tag thing after responding to a certain discussion. sometimes its annoying because it takes time to load the page. Haha! Happy mylotting!

If you keep on adding comments in any discussion then it would follow your back until and unless you add one tag.great day.

i know it helps in searching when we do add tags to our posts. i do tag my new discussions as i can remember, it is stated in the guidelines. but i skip tagging my comments and responses.

I dont think it would ask us to add more when we make some comments until and unless you start your discussion with no tags associated to it.it keep on annoying when we visit others dsicussions.great day.

If we try to add tags for an older discussion which is hours older then it would be waste to tag them coz the word we add already exists in there so i just try to skip it.great day.

No I don't really tag discussions much because I'm usually not sure what to tag them as. I usually just skip the tagging but every now and then I will tag them but it rarely happens. I just try to write really long responses and some how benefit the discussion but it's hard to always add good stuff the conversation I guess.

hi Jambi,if you're sure as what can be added you can always go for the some words which you have mentioned in your response coz your post would be related to the discussion right so as the words you used to constitute your post.great day.

hello sunny,
Not enjoying maybe the right word for me,but,i do put or add tagged when i find right word to tag on with the discussion.
But with my own discussion,i always put tag on it.

Its the host who can tag their discussions appropriately but at the end of the day we dont find the ones associated with it when we have started it----there are many who add tags which come to their mind randomly which isn't correct coz if you're not aware of what tag suits well then they should prefer skipping it.great day.

I usually add tags when I can think of something and feel inspired to add my own tags. I honestly didn't think it was mandatory to add tags to all discussions you replied to,unless it was a mature one. There are times I add tags and sometimes I don't. It really all depends on how I feel, or if I can actually think of any tags to add.
