This is what I am planning to do. I would choose those discussions that I find intellectual or topics of my interests and I will produce a hard copy of it. I will print them. But before I do that, maybe I will create first a good template in MS Word or Publisher to look more appealing to read, with some designs and layouts. Haha. It's good to compile those good discussions. By doing that, you will be able to read it offline and it's more comfortable. It's nice to browse and reread again those discussions under your interests or those discussions that you are involved specially those ones you have started. My first thing I have to accomplished now is to buy a new printer, coz I don't have one now since I have sold it several months ago. How about you guys, are you already producing hard copies of discussions here? Do you print discussions? What do you think is the advantage of having them?

Hi ralphido! No, I don't have plans to distribute it. I know I may violate a law if I do that. The printouts will just serve as my reference. stine1 is right. Well just like what I mentioned above, the one I have sold was my printer. Thank's for responding. Happy myLotting!

@ stine1,
Hi! Thanks again. Do I write really bad that people misunderstand it. Well, i admit I'm not really that fluent in English, so sorry if sometimes, you can't understand what I am trying to say. stine1 you are such a helpful person. Thanks a lot! Happy myLotting!

markmoney no your writing is really clear, and I did not misunderstand at all. I just was thinking as an unpublished fiction writer that a book could be written around material gathered here but it would entail a lot of details like getting all the permissions from anyone mentioned and that would not likely be possible. but if one were to use fictious names, but again no I think mylot admins would not be agreeable to that either. so no just keep it as you wanted to, for your own pleasure. I just wanted to say your writing is fine, nothing at all wrong with it. You did not say anything to make anyone think you wanted to sell any thing. So do not worry.

Hi phoenix8606! Oh, I'm sorry if my discussion was not been so clear. stine1 is right, I don't have a plan to sell those discussions that i will print out. It will just serves as my personal reference so that I can easily go back to them even without using a computer. The one I have sold was my printer, actually I have sold it together with a computer package. I think it's not good to sell discussions here coz we may violate a law. But thank you for your response. Happy myLotting!

Hi Mark!
No I don't print discussion for the simple reason that Idon't have a printer. I had one some years ago but I was using it too much and it was costly to replace the ink. Then I stopped using it and the ink dried up inside it and it wouldn't work so Ijust unplugged it and threw it out and have never replaced it.
I do however bookmark the discussions into folders. I have several and one of them contains those discussions that I want to follow because I enjoy the different opinions that have been posted on them. Others are particularly special because they speak of something that happened in the life of a friend here. Then I have another folder with dicussions that I want torespond on but did nt get to them immediately. I get back to those when I have a day off and get caught up with everything else.

Hi Diana! I think you can use some of your earnings here to buy a new printer. Haha! Well, maybe you don't really need it that much. That's a good idea you have mentioned, bookmarking. It is good for arranging and sorting of those discussions of your interests, so that you can easily get back to them when you need it. You are doing a great job. Thank you for your response. Happy myLotting!

Use my earnings from here? Never! *wags finger*
I am saving them all up for that trip and I haven't touched them for anything else at all
I don't need a printer so that is nowhere near my list of future items to buy. I need a new cimputer chair and a new desk/table for my computer first... but they will not be coming from my myLot earnings either lol

I just hope you are not saying that I copied your discussion coz I don't really have any intention to do that. And your discussion was already one year ago and the contents are different. I also noticed that you managed to get eight responses there. Well, bro, I'm sorry but I really didn't copy your discussion. Well, speaking of similarity, we have started two similar topic regarding the new 30 responses per page. My discussion was started earlier than yours. But I didn't call your attention. For me, I don't have a problem if anyone will start a similar topic to my started discussions unless it was copied word for word.

Well, if that so, then it's good. Well, about your one year old discussion, we can print anything we wanted here with the method that we wanted to use. You can directly choose print or you can use copy and paste and transfer it to another pad such as MS Word. Well, having a hard copy of good discussions here is really a good idea. Thanks for responding neil! Happy myLotting!

It is very interesting. I have never thought of printing the discussions. Actually I seldom want to print out stuff unless it is necessary. If I found the discussions are interesting, I will just copy them and paste to the inbox and then email back to me as the backup:)

That's a really good idea.
And, for anyone who pays by the hour for Internet
access, it would be a real money saver.
Also, consider printing the Wikipaedia pages, too.
Very informative, although sometimes the info is just

markmoney I cannot afford a printer but would do so if I had a computer
but if you are thinking of making a book of this you will have to change all the names or be sued as you cannot use real people's names. you would be sued for sure. It would probably make an interesting read but
be careful of the laws.Yes I would love to read and reread some of the ones I started and some of my very dear friends too. I can see advantages of having hard copy but you must know there can be laws regarding using the writings of others without getting their consent. so I would just use it as your own reading material. If you did want to write a novel you could use imaginery names for people and places.

I think I will not violate something if I will just print out those discussions for personal use. I don't have a plan to make a book out of it. Aside from that, producing a book takes fluency in English which is I really don't have. I would just really use it for personal use, for saving electricity and for more comfortable reading. Thank you for your response. Happy myLotting!

No, I can’t say I want to print discussions. I use a lot of ink as it is on other things. I find it easy enough to look up anything I want to read again or I simply bookmark the really interesting ones. I would need to file the prints and that entails more stuff in my little office, I already have all my files from when I was studying which I like to keep in case I need to refer back to them; they take up a lot of room, the last thing I need is MyLot files! Not a bad idea if you have the ink and the space though!

Yes, it's actually depends on your preference. Printing out discussions is not really that important coz we can reread them anytime on our computer. But for some, it is a good idea, well like what you said, if there's plenty of ink and space for it. Lol! Thank you for your response. Happy myLotting!

Hello Mark! That is a very good idea! I haven't considered that. My internet/ mylot time is very limited, and saving and printing them could be the next best option so I can read them offline! It's a Time-saving tip! Thanks for sharing this and will surely consider this option. We can always read back anytime we want to, than go online and search those discussions. You are right. :)

Yes Ysabel, thank you for supporting my idea. I also believe that it will be useful and time-saving as well, as you have said. It's even more comfortable to read them offline coz you can choose whatever position you like. Thank you for your response. Happy myLotting!

Hi Mark, you have a great ideas about saving mylot discussions for future reference. I agreed that some of those discussions really wort to be saved for future reference. So far, i never print any of the discussion yet because it had been quite long i didn't use my printer and not sure whether the printer is alright or not. Another thing is, now the pinter ink is quite costly in my area, so i don't really want to use printer always. But, i do bookmarked some of those discussions which have interesting topics and replies in my folder. So, whenever i want to refer back to those discussions, i will go to my bookmarked area in my folder and read them.

Yes, there's always an alternative solution. Even if we don't print discussions, we can still save and sort it in a folder or by bookmarking, as what you have mentioned, which is also a good idea. There's really a lot of myLot discussions which are worth to be saved. It's good to go back read them again. Thank you for your response. Happy myLotting!

Hi markmoney, I have never thought of printing the discussions here but I have put some of my past discussions in my blog. To-date I have created 400 over discussions which if I want to print can easily compile to a book for future reading. Good idea you have.

Yes, with your discussions created alone, you can already compile a book. That is such a bunch of information. Well I’ve never printed one yet, but then I tend not to print much because I hate to waste both ink and paper. But instead I do have a folder in my browser favourites which is full of links to mylot discussions which really interested me or made me laugh so that I can easily revisit them.

Hi markmoney,
I never print any discussion here whether it is started by me or someone else. I did not see any benefit doing it. Unless you want to make some money from it (by selling it), it is not worthy to do that.
Printing a discussion involve costs. You need ink (it is quite expensive right now), printer (since you do not have one) and paper. So, just for the reason to read it offline, I think it is not a nice move in term of costing. So, I will never do that.
@markmoney (2868)

Hi akuler! For me, it's a benefit that I can review and analyze those interesting discussions without using my computer which can save power consumption since I don't have a laptop now. Selling those printouts is really not my plan, and I will not do that. Well, not just for printing discussions here, but also for other documents, I think I really need a printer right now. Yes, for wise budgeting and practicality, one may not need to buy a printer. Well, I think extra budget will be the answer. Thank you for your response. Happy myLotting!

Yes, we can print them out in our own ways. We can include those avatars but I think it will be more ink consuming. So it will be our own choice on how we are going to print them. Thank you for your response. Have a nice day too! Happy myLotting!
