Have you ever been affected by ageism in the workplace?

I recently was watching a movie "Mad Money" with Diane Keaton. She had fallen on hard financial times. She was out looking for a job. And the person interviewing her says "people your age in the workforce are usually viewed as Pains in the a**" so I got to thinking how many people may have had some similar experience? Or the reverse..being thought of as "too young"
