They say that life hang by a hair.
But sometimes, this thread can mean several milliliters of blood that I lost and you need to survive.
Have you ever thought to give a small part of your vital energy to a stranger?
The moment you might decide it might be close to trouble a person.
Then you run to the hospital to try to save lives.
But if you be yourself in the situation of needing a blood transfusion?
Every second somewhere in the world is the need for blood.
It's about people injured, the people are on the table of operations or people suffering from serious diseases for which blood transfusion is the only chance at a certain time.
Giving you acquire!
Have you ever donated blood in your life, without knowing for whom, but you did it with all your heart, just to help?

I've donated blood. Had a tough time with it once, hard to find my veins. Right now, because I have an irregular heart beat, I need to get a note from my cardiologist before they'll let me donate blood. And i keep forgetting to get it...

Hi, Ice!
There's a blood drive at my school at least every other month, and I wouldn't ever hesitate to participate. When it's that easy to be of help, I can't see why there's ever a blood shortage...

My big answer would be yes...I am willing to donate my blood to any body even if it's a total stranger. After all blood can be replaced and can be gained anytime it's not I'm going to die if I will donate blood to others. It's saving other peoples live that is most important and I will do it as long I'm able to do so.
Blood donation should be a thing that other people should do from time to time because it is important giving the fact many people are lying in the hospital needing blood everyday. But some people were afraid of donating blood like some of my relatives. Anyways it's their rights I can't force them to do it.

if i need to donate my blood to add life to someone who really need it then of course i will, besides i know that the blood i give out will also be replace in my body as the body will going to generate enough blood for oxygen. the only thing that can be scary in donating blood is if the person is an aids or HIV carrier coz it will going to be transfer to the person who will need it. so if ever ill see to it that the blood is really from those people you know and not from strangers as we really cant tell.

No, im sure i wouldnt do it. Not by any chance. Theres a simple reason why i wouldnt do it, and is because i had hepatitis when i was younger. I have been told i shouldnt donate blood as it would be harmful instead of helpful. Thats why i wouldnt.
If my situation would be different, i think i would donate blood(i dont dislike needles, well not too much at least).

I used to donate all the time, until I started having liver issues. I have a fatty liver and I am in the process of correcting this. Once I do its back to donateing.

I don't mind to give blood to a stranger if the stranger needs blood and my blood matches. Donating blood can save the life of a person. It is great act. I haven't given blood to anybody yet, but I don't mind giving for a needy. I recently watched a documentary in TV, which talked about guys who sell blood in order to make a living. It was very sad.

Well, my friend. I've witnessed a number event on blood donation till date where the others have donated their blood for others. I've never got a chance. In each of these situations, I've seen that many donor are available around for which I didn't have to donate blood. But in case there is none found for that, I'm always ready sacrifice some amount of my blood to save someone's life whether he/she is known or unknown to me.
Have a nice day.

I'm a type AB positive. It's the rarest blood type.
I've donated blood many times before and if a "stranger" needs it, I'll do it in a New York minute.
No man is an island, we all need each other. I don't consider anyone a stranger. We are all brothers and sisters in this world, fellow human beings. Yes, I agree with you that by giving one acquires. And when you thought about giving with all your heart just to help, that's truly an admirable attitude. I'd say, you're warmhearted, kind, generous and humanitarian. Kudus to you, icesmile!

I will not think twice about this, with no doubt "Yes" i will! Whoever need a blood transfusion if a chance for survival i would not have a second taught.I think its a way to help others and giving them another chance to live is somewhat very good indeed,i may not know that person but for the sake of life its gladness in my heart that i can see someone trying to fight for life to survive and through my blood he can have another life..its so touching, I never had such experience so I really hope I can have a chance to donate my blood for life..

Hi icesmile,
There is nothing to be afraid of in donating blood because the lost blood cells will again be reproduced within 3 months. But there are some sort of rules to follow that the donator should follow like he should have an approximate weight of more than 65 kg.Once you pass the rules there is no bar or fear in donation.

i definitely would! it doesn't really matter if i know them or not. what matters is help saving lives. the first donation i had was to that of a mom with blood problem who happens to have an only child aged 5-8 yrs old. now, that mom was able to have another child and her 5-8 yr old child then is already in college. it's more fulfilling to discover that those you have given blood to were living, and enjoying better lives.

No problem at all. If someone in my family needed blood, or a friend of mine, I would have no problem giving it to them if we were of the same blood type. Around here a lot of people donate blood to the blood bank, so that if someone needs it, it will always be there for them.

I have never donated blood but I want to. The problem here is that the blood donation service is in the city and has limited parking, so I dont go there.
Sometimes they go to shopping centres to collect blood and if they come near me, I will certainly donate blood.
I have very common boodd. It is o+.
